Teresa Giudice denies committing any crime despite being in prison

Teresa Giudice She is once again defending her time in prison, despite pleading guilty to bank, mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud in 2014. In the first episode of her new podcast, Turning the Tables, she immediately talks about her time in prison. Teresa was released from prison after serving 11 months of a 15-month sentence. Although she was released from prison nearly a decade ago, she still claims her innocence. I’m not sure how to plead guilty this way, but here’s what…

Teresa says she knows in her “heart” that she “did not commit a crime” despite being in prison for 11 months

“I think a lot of us wives sign papers that our husbands ask us to sign,” Teresa begins. It’s true that some others in the public eye have admitted to doing the same. But still, it feels different, no matter how bad Joe Giudice has looked over the years.

“So, I came to an agreement with my husband, signed on the dotted line to get a mortgage — with the lawyer there and everything — and that was it,” the Real Housewives of New Jersey OG explained.

“Then, I would say 10 years later, when I was on a TV show, the government came knocking on our door regarding taxes and then started looking into everything. I was accused of mortgage fraud. The thing is, I know in my heart that I did not commit a crime, but “I did what I had to do, I took my time and took it like a champ.”

The comments come just a few months after Teresa responded to a question suggesting she blamed “everyone for everything.” While she claimed she didn’t actually do that, she added that she was “not a criminal.”

this is not true. She pleaded guilty to fraud, and was found guilty. A plea deal was reached with federal prosecutors. Teresa is a convicted felon who served time in prison. These are just the facts, no matter which side you’re on in the ongoing RHONJ chaos.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey continues Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
