Brittany Cartwright “Can’t Be in the Same Room” with Jax Taylor
when Brittany Cartwright And Jax Taylor They announced their split in February 2024, and fans were hoping they would reach an amicable situation. The Kentucky native was the one who moved out of the family home, and the two were co-parenting well.
While The Valley couple is still reaching out for their son, Brittany recently said her desire to be near Jax has subsided.
Brittany described dealing with Jax as “very up and down.”
The “When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany” podcast is still active. But only Brittany hosted the final episode when she hosted Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz.
She told her former co-star on the Friday, May 24, episode that things with Jax are “not great.”
“Right now… I can’t even be in the same room with him for that long,” Brittany explained. “Last time I was here… I said, ‘I forgot you two were separated.’ So it’s very up and down that way.
Without delving too deeply into the comment, Schwartz said that from his perspective, Brittany and Jax are doing “a good job of respecting each other’s boundaries.”
The Valley star had to set the record straight and revealed that while she respected Jax, she didn’t feel it was mutual.
“He didn’t do a good job of respecting me, that’s for sure,” Brittany said. “But we have to remember that I’m the one who lives somewhere else and… I feel like I’m the one taking all the hard hits even though I was the one who had to leave.”
Schwartz tried to lighten the mood, as he usually does, by picturing his happy place in Florida, where he plans to build a home.
“I use transcendental meditation now,” he said. “I’ve gone somewhere else. I’m back in Florida, and I’m on the beach, with a very cold Corona Light in my hand, and a shot of Patrón, and I’m happy.”
The former couple had a huge fight in the valley
Brittany discussed what happened on the last episode of The Valley when she got into a fight with Jax. The sports bar owner accused his wife of feeling sick from alcohol, when in fact she was not drinking.
“Jax was just walking in, saying, ‘I bet she’s drinking, I bet she’s drinking,’ and I wasn’t. All my friends were like, ‘No, she’s not,’ and he was putting me down in front of all my friends,” she explained. “That’s something I’ve probably seen in our relationship. “Jax doesn’t care about fighting with me in front of people.”
Brittany described “running out of that room” she was sleeping in to confront her then-husband after overhearing him talking to the rest of the cast.
She explained: “I ran out of that room terrified, and they shocked me in two seconds, and I just went out of my mind.”
Despite the decline in relations between Jax and Brittany, Schwartz stressed that their devotion to Cruz is strong.
“I’ve never seen an ounce of toxicity around Cruz, which I like,” he said.
