Saudi 360 – Argentine Marcelo Gallardo, coach of Al-Ittihad, returned to his homeland again after the conclusion of the 2023/24 football season.

The “ESPN” network account, via the “X” social media platform, transmitted footage of Marcelo Gallardo’s return to Argentina after the end of his season with Al-Ittihad Club.
Media reports indicate that Al-Ittihad club officials have informed Marcelo Gallardo that he will not continue in his position with the first football team for next season.

Gallardo led the Al-Ittihad team in 33 matches in all tournaments in the ending season, winning 15 matches, drawing 4 matches, and suffering 14 defeats. Under his leadership, the team scored 56 goals and conceded 59.
Al-Ittihad team failed to maintain the Saudi Professional League title, as it ended its season in fifth place in the standings with 54 points. It also exited the AFC Champions League in the quarter-finals, and lost the King’s Cup and the local Super Cup to Al-Hilal.
