YouTuber Ms. Rachel responds to backlash after celebrating Pride Month
Mrs. Rachel Critics kill with kindness.
The YouTuber, whose educational videos for kids have earned her more than 10 million followers, is addressing the backlash she received after celebrating Pride Month.
“I’ve shared prayers here before and said, ‘God bless you,’ and that’s because my faith is really important to me,” Ms. Rachel (whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso) She started her Instagram video on June 3. “That’s also one of the reasons I love all the neighbors.”
The former preschool teacher then pointed to Matthew 22 in the Bible — like the wedding feast in which Jesus was asked about the most important commandment.
“I think it’s been mentioned eight times: ‘Love thy neighbour,'” Ms Rachel continued. “So, yeah, everyone belongs. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is treated with compassion and respect. It doesn’t say, ‘Love all your neighbors.'” Except that there are many reasons why I stand strong in love and stand with everyone.”
“This is me,” she concluded.
