YouTuber Ben Potter dies at the age of 40 after an “unfortunate accident”

Comic fans are mourning the loss of their essential presence in the industry.

Ben Potter— who had amassed more than 3 million subscribers through his YouTube Comicstorian account — died in an “unfortunate accident,” his wife Natalie Potter He confirmed on social media. He was 40 years old.

“For many of you, he was a comedy writer, expressing stories across multiple different mediums,” Natalie wrote in a June 10 message shared on Ben’s various social media accounts. “To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for. As a husband, son, brother, friend, or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and honest. He was our rock and would check on his loved ones whenever they needed it.”

“He was my world,” Natalie said of Ben, noting her need for privacy to deal with the matter and grief. “My priority now is to preserve everything he built and I have no plans beyond that,” she said of Ben.

Because as you may have noticed, the Comicstorian — who was dedicated to creating comic book audio dramas and often talked about the Marvel and DC universe — is quite the legacy.
