Alexis Bellino romanticizes her sweet date
During the season 18 premiere of Real Housewives of Orange County , Alexis was all about making things right. Alexis noted, “November 18 is the day that John Janssen came into my life. I met John on Quiet Woman . We tried to fight the feelings. After the second week, John and I knew. That’s it. Unfortunately, your heart wants what it wants. And here we are. Take us or leave us.” The whole story felt like a Romeo and Juliet moment, straight out of the pages of Shakespeare. The way Alexis talked about their first meeting was like a 16-year-old girl falling in love for the first time.
I could literally see the little hearts dancing around her head as she talked about John. Alexis must be already planning her wedding to him. According to Alexis, the meeting happened “by pure chance.” The born-again housewife noted, “It was honestly a random night when two of my guy friends wanted me to take them to The Quiet Woman — I’ve been going there for decades and I know the staff there — so they were like, ‘We want to go with you.’” John was probably there, and the pair got tangled up. “I mean, we couldn’t really stop him,” Alexis added.

Alexis has certainly enjoyed the attention she’s been getting, thanks to her new beau. Shortly after announcing their relationship, Alexis took to her Instagram to show off a ring on that special finger. The 47-year-old shared her Christmas gift, and to fans’ surprise, it appeared to be a diamond ring. Showing off her new Vancleef Arpels ring, Alexis captioned her photo, “Words can’t. Actions do. I won’t feel guilty anymore. I won’t apologize. Love will create its own story. I love you, Johnny J.” However, she was careful to point out that it was just a promise ring.
But her hopes are high. Alexis recently gave a major update to E! , saying, “We’ve been looking at engagement rings. We’re definitely talking about the future.” And while Real Housewives of Orange County fans are skeptical about the relationship, Alexis is staying true to her feelings. “We’re amazing. It’s getting better every day. We’re both like, ‘Hang on,’ that we’ve really found a best friend and someone we want to spend the rest of this life with. It’s just amazing,” she continued.

Shannon Beador has some thoughts on how quickly the couple took the next step, especially after less than a year of dating. “This is John Janssen,” Shannon told the magazine. “Two weeks later, he said I was his person and his future, so they’re following the John Janssen path. I didn’t get a ring, but I immediately thought, ‘I’m going to spend the rest of my life with John.’ He’s moving so fast.”
Fortunately, Shannon doesn’t seem too bothered by John’s new, fast-paced relationship — except that she is. The mother of three said, “It’s good for them, be happy. From the outside, it seems to me like there were ulterior motives on both sides for them getting into a relationship, so we’ll see. I’m grateful that John isn’t in my life because our relationship was so toxic. I’m grateful.”
Even though John has received a lot of criticism from fans, Alexis is still keeping a positive attitude. She has made it clear that their relationship is 100 percent “organic.” And it looks like John could be getting down on one knee any day now.
