With the 18th season of Real Housewives of Orange County airing, I was just feeling…

With season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County On the premiere, I had to reminisce. While viewers had all their favorite characters, there was always a top-tier villain to hate throughout each season. These women made evil look easy as they tore apart their competition. But who will win the title of worst villain in RHOC history?

Kelly Dodd – Villain of RHOC Season 11

Although Kelly Dodd respects herself, most fans agree that she dragged the franchise to its lowest point. The mother of one was volatile, rude, and vulgar. Kelly often used foul language, which particularly angered Heather Dubrow. During one scene, Heather was forced to leave a party early, stating that Kelly’s outburst was “a vulgar, vile display.” Heather and the rest of the women couldn’t stand Kelly’s toxic personality, saying, “I’m done. This is it.” no “Well, that’s kind of a low-level bull, and I’m not going to do that. I don’t even want to be associated with that.” Bravo apparently felt the same way and chose to fire Kelly.

But that didn’t stop Kelly from being a villain. During the global pandemic, Kelly chose to respond to a fan’s comment about her flying during the coronavirus outbreak, writing on Instagram via People: “God’s way of reducing the number of people! If you’re vulnerable or at risk, stay inside.” The comments were not well-received. Kelly was then photographed at her wedding posing with her friends without masks and wearing a “Drunk Wives Matters” hat, which was a dig at the Black Lives Matter movement. Kelly has long been known for being insensitive, but this was too much for many fans of the show.

Braunwyn Windham Burke – Villain of RHOC Season 14

Braunwyn Windham Burke, a smash hit, was a bit of an unusual heroine. I found myself wanting to root for her, but she made it so hard. She seemed nice and tried to make fans think she was living a very unconventional life, which she and her husband Sean Burke agreed to. But it turned out that poor Sean was just being used as a mat. The couple may have had an open relationship, but Braunwyn was the one who enjoyed all the privileges. After all, she started a relationship with a woman while still wanting to marry Sean.

After leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County, her children began speaking out against her on Page Six. They called their mom “narcissistic, abusive, manipulative, and a liar.” Upon watching Braunwyn on the show, most fans found her to be arrogant, narcissistic, and just plain fake. So it’s no wonder she only lasted one season. I mean, anyone who says, “Hey, Lemonade Boy, can you find my husband?” is probably not a great person in the first place.

Lynn Curtin – RHOC Villain Season 4

The next villain is a tough one because, unlike the two women above, I don’t think Lynn Curtin intended to do any harm. But I included her because she was so suspicious of her daughters. It didn’t help that she often played the victim, blaming her husband for kicking them out. In fact, Lynn was hard to swallow. Instead of setting a budget, she was buying Botox and getting facelifts. Perhaps worst of all, she was complicit in her daughters’ bad behavior.

Let’s all remember that she also allowed her children to drink underage. Lynn was the type who would constantly ruin her life and then wonder why things went wrong. Her stupidity was, at times, infuriating.

Vicki Gunvalson – Villain in Season 1 of RHOC

The original series’ heroine gave us some amazing television moments. But it’s hard to deny that Vicki Gunvalson was also one of the show’s greatest villains. Her demeaning treatment of the new girls alone cemented her spot on my list. Vicki was the queen of happiness because she derived more pleasure from the other girls’ misfortunes than we care to admit. Vicki was almost always envious whenever a new kid on the block appeared.

The mother of two showed her true colors as she was extremely jealous of anyone who had something she wanted, namely a loving marriage, a good body, and youth. She also made it clear early on that she despised any wives who were supported by their husbands. In retrospect, Vicki really enjoyed leaving Tammy Knickerbocker with nothing when her husband died. We all remember that she lived for Lynn who was fired. Vicki had a natural inability to feel happy about someone else’s good fortune.
