But Last Night With John Oliver The American TV host surprised viewers when he hilariously mocked the producers of the 2024 Emmy Awards live on air while accepting the award for Outstanding Scripted Variety Program during the awards ceremony held on September 15 at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. “Thank you so much. I want to thank HBO for not canceling us over the past decade,” said Oliver, who has overcome Saturday Night Live “It wasn’t a guarantee at all, and I appreciate that,” he joked on stage.
Oliver continued to scream at his wife. Kate Norley and their two sons – but he accidentally misspelled his words in another laugh-worthy moment.
“And my children, my husband,” he said of their firstborn before bursting into laughter. “His name is Hudson“Ah, this will come back to haunt me.”
