Where do Craig Conover and Chip Rose stand today?

the Southern Magic The Season 9 reunion aired in January, and there was a new season that everyone had been waiting for a long time. There was a lot of drama to absorb, and fans couldn’t help but wonder how things were going between the cast members in real time. Specifically, in the case of Craig Conover and Sheep Rose.

The duo have been at odds all season. Shipp has also been dealing with the fallout from his relationship with Taylor Anne Greene. It seems he’s been working through some issues behind the scenes, which came to a head at BravoCon 2023.

While filming the reunion, Shep admitted he needed to change his relationship with alcohol. Craig supported his friend in this regard, but felt the need to step back as well. Now fans are wondering how compatible the two are.

Craig Conover Talks ‘The Road Ahead’ with Shep Rose

Craig spoke exclusively to In Touch about filming the hit Bravo show over the past decade.

“I started filming when I was 24, and now I’m 36,” the Sewing Down South founder explained. “I’ve matured a lot. Reality TV is a giant mirror that you hold up to yourself. Every year you try to get better. It holds you accountable.”

Craig was then asked where he and Shep stood now, and he felt the real issue was that he had moved on in his life.

“We’ve come to terms with the fact that we’re not the same at all; we’re different in almost every way. We’re better than we were at the reunion, and we’re on the road forward,” Craig revealed.

“Sometimes when people grow and evolve, it scares people,” he added. “We’ve seen on the show for years that people have issues with the way I’ve lived my life. Before, I went out too much and didn’t work enough. Now I work too much and don’t go out enough. But I think they’ve started to accept me for who I am.”

Craig noted that Shep’s “alcohol issues” are a “big storyline next season.” As such, he commented that his support for Shep was a factor in their moving forward.

“I’ve been going through my own journey with drinking, and Shep is going through his journey,” the reality star explained. “Anytime you’re dealing with recovery, it’s so important to keep moving forward. Sometimes you might stumble, but I think as long as you’re intentionally good, everyone’s going to be okay.”
