After last week’s handle update leveled the playing field, the remaining players competed for a place in the final. There’s only room in the end for five of them, so with time running out in the game, there was a dangerous feeling of desperation permeating throughout the house. It has become more difficult for players to maintain their lies, and alliances have been thrown out the window. Here’s a breakdown of what happened in Episode 11 of The Anonymous, titled “Buzzed Off.”

Fashionable exit

Episode 11 kicked off at the elimination ceremony, where DANI dropped the devastating news that The Anonymous had picked Dillian out of the game. Yes. There goes all the fun and fashion, you guys.

“Honey, they finally kicked my ass loudly. Wow,” Dillian said in response to the news.

For those of us watching from home, Dillian’s elimination probably wasn’t too surprising. We knew there were a lot of players targeting him from the start. They couldn’t handle all that dazzling, and his little silent movements didn’t help his cause.

Ironically, it was revealed in a flashback that Christopher won the Power of the Unknown this week. Remember when Dillian pulled a Christopher back in Episode 4? Well, he finally got his revenge.

Back in the circle, Dillian gave an emotional speech about his time on the show. He said he was grateful to everyone who participated in the contest, then gave Nina a strong endorsement for winning the whole contest.

“You played this game with great grace,” Dillian told Nina. “You have what it takes to take it along the way. Trust in you, and stay calm.”

After drying his tears and revealing the three secret handles he used throughout the match, Dylan was eliminated from the competition. literally. He walked out of the house looking like an amphitheater, and suddenly, the show was a little less glamorous.

Does Nina have a new target on her back?

Although it was Dillian’s pleasure to give Nina such a loud shout during his elimination, the situation left Nina paranoid. Did he just put a giant target on her back on his way out the door?

Fortunately for Nina, Marcel and Christopher were still convinced that Lily had something to do with some of the biggest liquidations. They describe her as the “Grim Reaper” of the Unknown, which is funny because we know Lily’s only victim so far has been Xavier.

Aside from Nina’s anxiety over Delian’s exit speech, she also finally confronts her connections to the survivors. Jack revealed it to some of the other players in private, but Marcel finally went straight to the source. Of course, Nina lied so badly that her pants almost caught fire before our eyes.

“I think I watched Survivor like one time because Billie Eilish said that in a song,” Nina said.

She continued: “My mother is not physical at all. She won’t be a winner of the challenge, that’s for sure. She’s not an outsider.

Yikes! Without anyone questioning Nina, Marcel admitted in his confessional that he had no idea whether to believe her or not. That’s how good she is at deception. It’s almost a little scary.

Danny’s shocking little challenge

So far into the unknown. Danny challenged players to puzzles that tested their patience and math skills. This week I decided to up the ante with a quirky challenge called Buzzed Off.

At first glance, it seemed simple. They split into two teams of three each, then pass a metal hoop around a maze of metal frames. Whoever finishes first wins, and they get $1,000 per checkpoint. Easy enough? mistake. Danny dropped a little tidbit that if their hoop touched the metal frame, they would get electrocuted and have to start over. It’s just another reason not to trust AI.

The teams split up with Christopher, Victoria and Lily on one team, then Nina, Marcel and Andy on the other. Danny said that whichever team made it the farthest through the maze would then enter the second round of competition to battle for safety and a place at the end.

After enduring a lot of shocks, Marcel, Andy and Nina win the competition. Overall, players received $10,000 in the prize pool, and immediately had to enter the second round of competition.

To be safe, they had to hold a metal ring in one place without touching it. The last player standing will be safe from elimination, and it goes to none other than Nina! After all, she won the endurance challenge on Survivor Australia. She’s not new to this, and she’s now one step closer to the finish line.

Who’s being on the chopping block?

The anonymous mode chat felt almost empty with very few players remaining in the game. Plus, Nina was safe so there was one less person to target. Fortunately, Andy aka Banana kicked things off by dragging Lily into the chat. He felt that it was time, and told everyone in person or via chat.

Once again, players began discussing the idea of targeting Victoria and Christopher. Everyone has put forward this idea since they first started, but their attempts have failed. This time, it might finally happen. Here’s how the votes shook:

  • Bananas voted for Victoria
  • Wolfe voted for Victoria
  • The Crown voted for Lily
  • Ghost voted for Lily
  • Rainbow voted for Andy
  • Tea voted for Andy

This means that Marcel, Christopher and of course Nina have a guaranteed place at the end. Congratulations to them! Meanwhile, the three players in danger went into panic mode to try to survive.

Victoria had a huge misstep

When the dust settled on the nominations, Lily started working overtime to try to convince people that bringing Victoria and Christopher to the finale together would be a stupid idea.

Before the Anonymous audition, Lily, Victoria, and Nina were all commiserating about the competition when Victoria accidentally exposed herself. Has anyone else slipped up this badly?

“I know exactly who I said I would vote for in my mind, and I voted for her,” Victoria said nonchalantly.

Lily and Nina glanced at each other, and we all know that look. It’s as if they said to each other telepathically: “Did this girl really say that?”

Victoria tried to dig herself out of the blunder, but it became very clear to Lily that she wasn’t in her corner. Truly, a failure of epic proportions.

At the end of the episode, Danny teased who might have won the elimination power this week. It looks like it will be either Christopher or Marcel. One of them will have the final say in who makes it to the end and who goes home empty-handed.

Anonymous continues next Monday on USA Network at 10/9c.
