He may have broken Sierra Miller’s heart on Season 8 of Summer House, but now… West Wilson He stars on Complex’s YouTube channel, and will be seen on the show dating several female celebrities, including “Hawk Tuah Girl” Haliey Welch.
West, who currently works as a sports, social and editorial producer at Complex Networks, will challenge the women to competitive dates. In addition to getting to know each other, they will talk about the struggles of being single in the public eye on West Date Ever.
West Wilson’s dating show features him dating in an aquarium.
“The dates are kind of weird and cute, and there’s food and games and all that kind of stuff,” West tells Page Six.
West claims he learned from the experience of hosting the show. He found he was able to “interact with the good and the bad” with his guests, and they also experienced living in public. Everyone he met went through “trial and error” as he “tried to figure things out and learned as we went along.”
“Nobody knows what the right thing to do is, and people learn day by day,” he admits. “I think that’s something I’ve come to realize… We think everybody knows exactly what they’re doing, but none of us actually do it.”
“I’m really excited to try something new, which is what I love to do. I’m really excited about this, and I hope people like it,” he adds.
Get More Comfortable When Dating On Camera
West’s first date was fishing in Tennessee with Haley. She became internet famous in June when she coined the phrase “hawk tuah” while discussing oral sex in a viral TikTok video.
“It was fun to go on a short date with Halle,” he shares. “She was almost in the spotlight against her will, so I wanted to make sure she knew I wasn’t there to beat her viral meme over everyone’s heads… Everyone has a story, and I wanted to learn more about it and help her leave ‘Hawk Tuah’ in the past, you know?”
Haley admits in the episode that her day with West was “one of the best dates” she’s ever had because the Summer House alum is a “really nice guy” and “really wants to get to know you.”
For his part, West admits he’s become more comfortable in front of the cameras since his disastrous romance with Sierra in the summer of 2023. Their relationship seemed to have potential over the summer but ultimately ended (badly) after production wrapped last fall.
Despite their uneasy June appearance, Ciara and West have managed to put their differences aside and are currently filming season nine of the hit Bravo show in the Hamptons.
“I’m always amazed at how normal things are. [in the House]“You always think it’s going to be something big and weird… but it’s not,” West admits. “So, it’s cool.”
Summer House season 9 is expected to air sometime in early 2025.
West Date Ever will premiere on August 23 at 12pm EST on Complex’s YouTube channel.
