We’re nearing the finish line in Season 1 of The Anonymous, but Danny…

We are approaching the finish line of the first season of The unknownbut Dani still has a lot of tricks up her virtual sleeve. In the final episode, there were plot twists, questionable strategies, and an unfathomable number of lies.

Last week, Marcel escaped elimination, but this week, the players were not so lucky. Things are back to normal, and one of the most powerful players has gotten the axe. As the end of the season approaches, every minute counts and there is no room for error. Here’s what happened in Episode 9 of The Anonymous, “Silent Mode.”

When we last left off in Episode 8, Dani left us in suspense, teasing whether Lily, Basmah, or Jack would return home. With Jack in control of the match, it seemed like the walls were closing in on Layla or Basmah. However, Dani dropped the bombshell that Jack had been chosen by The Anonymous out of the competition. shock!

In a flashback we see that Victoria won the power of the unknown for the second time. Wisely, she chose to send home the game’s biggest remaining threat. Suddenly, the girl who arrived late to the game was a serious contender to win the whole thing.

Back on the phone, Jack had a visceral reaction to his game coming to an end. He might be the first person to seem genuinely upset about being left out. He played a great game, and his passion for it could be felt through the screen.

When he told Jack he was playing as a Flamengo and football, the reactions across the board were priceless. Everyone looked shocked, but Fyre Fest Andy looked like he had just seen a ghost. It finally dawned on him that Jack had been toying with him since day one.

“It’s mixed emotions I have now knowing that his first interaction was football,” Andy admitted in his confessional. “But I actually admire him more because he terrorized me every day. He was my best friend in the game. He was very smart to play that way.”

Who is the next target?

Before Jack’s tears could dry, the remaining players were arguing about who was behind the elimination. Out of everyone, Andy had the hardest time adjusting. He’s suffered from this so much that he’s become suspicious of anyone who doesn’t feel as strongly about it as he does. For example, Dillian didn’t seem to care about Jack coming home, which made Andy even more suspicious. The target is closed.

Elsewhere in the house, a few of the other guys started talking about Nina. Marcel, Victoria, and Christopher all assumed she could work in the shadows. In fact, she was only behind one elimination, and ended up getting banned anyway.

Either way, Christopher tells his allies what Jack mentioned to him earlier in the game. He said that Nina could be the daughter of one of the greatest reality TV players of all time, which scared everyone. This is correct. It’s officially an open secret that there’s more to Nina than meets the eye. Fortunately for her, time is running out this season, and there were few other players with bigger targets on their backs.

Dillian enters “silent mode”

With more uncertainty than ever, DANI has brought players back into the unknown. She then joked that only two people would be eligible for elimination. This turned out to be a lie, but more on that later.

In the chat, players immediately started targeting Victoria and Christopher. Most people wanted the couple out of the game during the final four episodes. If there were only two people eliminated this week, this math would seem simple, right? mistake. Andy threw a wrench into all of that by dropping Dillian’s name.

As soon as Dillian’s name was put in the chat, it seemed like everyone joined in. Suddenly, Andy, Basma and Christopher nominated him for elimination under the guise of their secret handles. In a desperate attempt to win over The Anonymous, Dillian also votes himself in as Popsicle.

Chris voted for Lily, but the rest of the votes went to him. He didn’t care. He said he’s not interested in trying to outdo anyone. Instead, he just wanted to be used as a “pawn” all the way to the finish line. It’s a plan so crazy that it just might work.

Once Danny confirmed that the two drivers at risk were Dillian and Chris, Dillian decided to take a new approach to his IRL gameplay. Silent mode: activated. He vowed not to talk to anyone in the house for the rest of the day, and he stuck to it.

At one point, Nina came to try to check on him. He just stared at her with a blank expression. According to Dillian, he wanted everyone to know exactly how they would feel without him at home. He calls it silent mode, but most of us know this as the silent treatment.

Another day, another confrontation

In the back half of the episode, Danny called the players in for another confrontation, and that’s when things started to go off the rails. In a twist, Dani revealed that the four safe players will be playing head-to-head this time. Two of the boxes were secure inside, and the other two would be ready for removal. Add up the numbers, and that means there will be four people ready to be eliminated. Tried again by our old friend Danny.

Meanwhile, Fyre Fest Andy can barely handle the news. He was still reeling from Jack’s elimination. “This is twisted,” he said under his breath.

Even though DANI switched the stakes for the showdown, the segment was still not as interesting to watch as the last three times they played it. This time, everyone wanted the green box. First, I went to Andy, then Nina, then Basma. Bad move, that was the danger zone. Sorry.

By the end of the match, Marcel and Basma ended up with the unlucky boxes. They join Dillian and Chris on the chopping block. Dani then dropped some strange information that this game will be a deciding factor in the upcoming finale. Will it be interesting to watch them on their fifth attempt? We’ll see.

Fortunately, Dillian realized there was a lull in entertainment this week. At the end of the showdown, he broke his vow of silence with an epic takedown of the entire cast. Give him an Emmy for this.

“Today, I didn’t say anything at all because I wanted to see what the house would be like without my voice,” Dillian began. “I’m bored out of my mind.”

According to Dillian, the day he had no voice was the most “old” thing he had ever experienced. Despite the shadow, the rest of the cast sat there and let him continue.

He added: “Superficial level talks? Dusty, rough, and all I’ll say is if you become the unknown and vote for me, good luck because I feel like it’s going to be the longest days of your life.

Drop the mic! Now, does he have a point? Yes. Is this a smart strategy to get rid of the unknown? Absolutely not.

Andy expected this silent trick to be the final nail in Dillian’s coffin. No one wants “that kind of behavior,” he said, after all. Speak for yourself, Andy. We would be grateful to see Dillian reading everyone again.

Meanwhile, Dillian felt confident that since he voted himself into Anonymous, he would become Anonymous. After a few minutes, we saw that this was not the case. The test results revealed that he was not the unknown again. Someone out there knows he’s a lollipop.

At the end of the episode, we learned that either Andy or Nina won by power in this round. If it’s Andy, we know Dillian’s time is up. If Nina wins, the next elimination could go either way. We’ll find out next week.

Anonymous continues on USA Network Monday nights at 11/10c. Stream it the next day on Peacock.
