We’re back with our recap of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5, Episode 2.

We’re back with a recap of Below the sailing yacht Season five, episode two. Last week we met the new crew. It seems that Gary has turned over a new leaf and announced that his new motto is “Work hard and work harder.” It remains to be seen whether he will try to balance that by “playing harder.” Gary and Daisy reconcile after Season 4’s tumultuous love triangle involving Gary, Daisy and Colin, while Daisy begins to go wrong with Chef Cloyce. Here’s exactly what happened in BDSY Season 5, Episode 2: “Tender Bender.”

In this week’s episode, Gary crashes into rocks while driving at night. After struggling with dinner the first night, Chef Cloyce knocked it out of the park on the second night, even surprising guests with some rap music. And Daisy makes it very clear to Gary that she’s not going to put up with any of his bullshit this season. Here are some highlights from BDSY Season 5, Episode 2.

Chef Clois has a hard time making dinner on the first night

On the first night, the chef mixed up dinner orders, so some guests were slow to receive their food. Daisy admits that she was the one who put him in the “difficult position” by allowing guests to customize their orders. “But he’s a superyacht chef,” she says. “You have to be able to adapt at the last minute.”

Gary takes the bid to take the next dancer out to teach the guests “sexy dance moves.” While returning it, despite Glenn’s warning to be careful of the rocks, Gary smashes the tender. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Once back on the boat, he informed the captain of his unfortunate accident. “The ship won’t sink because it’s inflatable,” says Glenn. “But the engine could sink, and then we’d buy a new one. This tender is about €180,000. Will that come out of Gary’s tips for this season?

Emma is watching the anchor, so Glenn asks Gary to watch her. Gary says to her: “If you see her… sitting [lower in the water]”Wake me up.”

The next morning, Glen sent Gary to take videos of the damage. “If there was a hole in the bottom of the hull, it would be the end of the season for that tender,” Gary says. “I don’t even want to think about that.”

After watching the video, Glenn determined that the damage was mostly cosmetic. “It’s not something that would affect the performance of the tender,” he says. “Gary knows better. This is not the way we want to start our season.”

Ibiza O Beach Club is like “Vegas a thousand times over”

Guests can book into the popular Ibiza O Beach Club. Daisy says it’s “a thousand times like Vegas.” They drink a lot throughout the day, and can be in bed by 9:00. As she sat in the tender waiting to go to the club with the guests, Diana told Gary: “Just make sure the boat doesn’t crash again.” Oh.

Danny and Diana accompany guests to the beach club. Danny immediately starts flirting with club host Anthony and gets her number. Maybe they’ll meet up on a crew night out.

There are a couple of guests at the pool wearing jean shorts. They ask if a crew member can retrieve their swimsuits from the boat. Didn’t they understand that they were going to the beach club? Why didn’t they wear their swimsuits?

Daisy echoed my thoughts as she searched through their luggage for a swimsuit, “Who goes to a beach club without a swimsuit?”

Glenn tells her to wake Gary up and have him handle their swimsuits. He was in the middle of a nap, because he didn’t sleep last night. He believes that Daisy is controlling him and treating him like an “errand boy” when it was Glenn who asked her to wake him up. Maybe he feels angry that she is still angry with him…

Gary and Daisy clash over her and ask him to pick up her cooking from the club

Danny and Diana are getting burned in the sun and wonder when the guests will want to get back on the boat. They ask one of the women when they want to come back, and she says: “As late as possible.”

They drink a lot of shots and order bottles of champagne. The stews began to wonder if they would be able to safely return them to the tender.

They finally call Daisy and tell her that the guests won’t be leaving anytime soon. Daisy disagrees, but says she will send a deckhand to relieve them and they can get back to the boat.

When I asked Gary to come back and pick up the girls, he said, “No, she can wait until we pick up the guests. I’m not kidding. I was just there.”

“Okay,” Daisy answers, unhappy. “I’ll remember that.”

“Both girls were there for hours,” Daisy says in her confessional. “We have a refusal to do. No one has taken a break. I think it’s only fair that we swap teams… The Cheetah doesn’t change positions. The first chance he gets, he shows once again how rude he can be… Fuck you, I’ll do it myself.

Gary finally relents and realizes he needs to appease Daisy. He asks if he should go get “one of the girls”, but Daisy tells him that she wants him to pick up “the girls” and exchange them with a member of the ship’s crew. She needs them back on the boat to do their job.

Chef Clois is a self-proclaimed Renaissance man

Finally, at 7:00 p.m., guests are ready to return to the boat. They should be wiped clean from drinking in the sun all day. I think they’ll come back and take a nap. Poor Cloyce plans a Thai dinner that they will be too drunk to eat.

When they got back to the boat, one of the women fell flat on her face while exiting the tender. They are all lost.

Dinner was originally supposed to be at 8:00 a.m., but it kept getting postponed. Finally, all guests are seated at the table at 9:00. The chef is worried that his proteins will be overcooked, and that his rice will become sticky. Maybe they’re all too drunk to notice? Fortunately, they all think his food is “exceptional.”

One of the guests wants the chef to have a chance with them. “With Captain’s permission, we can do anything,” he told them before asking Glenn’s approval.

When serving shots of Japanese whiskey, Clowes surprises the guests with a rap. Daisy is impressed. “I love it,” she laughs. “I didn’t think Kluis was a hidden Eminem.”

Guests also love it and exclaim: “Chef’s dope is f*ck!”

“Cooking is not the whole package,” he told interviews. “I consider myself a Renaissance man. I’m skilled in poetry, archery, dancing, and a little bit of magic. “Even when nothing goes according to plan, I still always have an ace up my sleeve,” he finished, pulling the ace out of his pocket. It was wonderful.

Daisy gives Gary a serious warning about his future behaviour

Gearing up for their first night out, the crew is all geared up. Dani receives a text from her beach club boyfriend Anthony, but she’s not sure she wants to participate. “There are a lot of fish in the sea,” she says.

While hanging out with the men, Cloyce remarked that “Daisy would make a very good wife.” When Gary laughs, the chef adds, “She’s organized. She runs a tight ship, and I love it when a lady tells you what it’s going to be like.”

Gary Interviews: “I think she’s going to eat him alive.”

But when Daisy invited Gary over for a smoke break, she told him: “I highly recommend you get into the game… You’ve done me the wrong thing… Just warning you, don’t get mad.”

She continues, “I’m not sitting you down this year… I’ve always had your back, and you threw me under the bus. I’m just setting you up. I’m going to throw you under the bus this year. You’re not in my corner.”

Gary is surprised by Daisy’s attitude. “All I have for Daisy is love,” he says in his confessional. “And she makes it more difficult for me. And yet I still have these feelings for her.

“I’m telling you, this season, you’re either in my corner or you’re not,” Daisy adds. [and] I don’t sit anymore. I’m done with it.
