Wendell Holland explains the details of his elimination on the GOAT

when Wendell Holland Goat Manor has entered a new Prime Video series, Goat, proceeded to become the greatest reality TV star of all time. Unfortunately for him, his physical strength, strategic prowess, and epic social gameplay put a target on his back early on. This week, his competitors finally got their chance, submitting the winner of Survivor just days before the finale.

During an exclusive chat with Reality Tea, Wendell discussed his game, saying that being the “best player in the house” involved a lot of stress. “For example, I knew that the first clear shot they had at me, they were going to take it,” he told us. “I knew that.”

GOAT started with 14 contestants, all from various reality shows, including The Bachelor, The Real Housewives, Vanderpump Rules, and Big Brother. Naturally, the women cooperated with each other, leaving the men to fend for themselves. At the head of the women’s alliance is Davonne Rogers, who made Wendell (and the other men) her first target after an unexpected blindside hit earlier in the match. Although Wendell had hoped to work some of his magic on jury management, he saw the writing on the wall after the firing of his closest ally, Reza Farahan, the previous week. “I watched my allies being picked off one by one,” he explained, before saying his numbers were “dwindling week by week.”

Wendell didn’t expect Davon to target him

Since Da’Vonne and Wendell knew each other outside of Goat Manor, their CBS alliance seemed firmly in place. However, things changed in Episode 3, when Wendell threw a wrench into Day’s plans, ultimately sending Lauren Spade Hamilton home instead of her target, Justin Johnson. According to Wendell, he did not expect that his blind shock would completely shatter their alliance.

“So, if you’re Dai, and you have the numbers… [and] You’re in a position of power and you talk to me and you say, “I want your ally out,” and I say, “That’s my man.” Like, let’s find a common goal, and we’ll take them out. And your whole attitude is, “No, this is what I’m going to do,”… Well, I hear where you’re coming from. I will try to do my best [and] “You’re making your best moves,” he said.

“Tomorrow, we will meet again and continue to work together, no matter what happens. Therefore, this is my position. And in [the] In the world of survivors, you can, you know, work differently, not against each other, but just work differently and come back together the next day.

Later, the reality star said he would continue to have game conversations with Day throughout the game but had no idea she was “in the confessional… just… [talking] Trash about me.”

“I never watched Davon play [Big Brother or The Challenge]”,” he said. “I just know it comes from [those shows]. So, my default is a high level of respect for this player. So, every time I was in confession, I would say what a player she is. I didn’t know she played with her emotions so hard. If you take your emotions out of it, and someone makes a better play than you, you should still be able to work with them.

Overall, though, Wendell admitted that he has “crazy respect” for Da’Vonne despite her “breaking me down on TV.”

“I still respect her. It won’t affect that,” he said. “Even though she voted for me, I still loved her; I still have a love for her to this day. I just think her saying certain things about me and these confessionals, Like, I don’t think that’s required, and I wish it was [she] I was going to keep it funky with me in the game.

“When people get in your face, and you demand a certain level of respect. They won’t say these things, but then they’ll go to confession and say them. I get it. You’re stuffing your Twitter feed, whatever, but like, you know me in real life, and you don’t I would never disrespect you in real life ever.

Even though he didn’t win $200,000, the father of one still has a lot to look forward to. In addition to building a boutique hotel (The Gas Lamp) in Philadelphia, he is filming another home show in the fall. “It’s a building show that I’ll be shooting in August, September and October in Houston, Orlando, Phoenix and Los Angeles,” he said. “So, that would be cool too.”
