Welcome to the recap of Episode 14 of Season 8 of Summer House! In this week’s episode,
you are welcome in summer house Summary of Season 8, Episode 14! In this week’s episode, titled “From Dusk Till Donne,” the gang will rally around Danielle when she finally launches her fashion app. Last week, West opened up a little more to Ciara about his true intentions but got into some stuff while taking her on a horseback riding date. Jesse got some disturbing news about his five-year cancer screening, but fortunately, the gang rallied around him.
Danielle welcomes Don
Finally, after years of hearing about Danielle being an app creator, fans are seeing Danielle come up with her own vision! As Danielle explains, Donne will serve as a digital catalog for your closet and a communication tool between clients and designers. This week’s episode showed fans the exclusive launch party complete with digital effects.
Danielle joked that the app “has been a long time coming.” She wants those who use her product to feel comfortable and “wear” and look their best. Danielle points out that for ’90s viewers, it’s a “better version of Cher’s closet than Clueless.” And even Paige approved of it, so I’m in!
Jesse could breathe easier
Mixed among the 125 guests are the rest of the Summer House cast who came to show Danielle some love. Perhaps the first guest is Jesse, who has everyone worried about him and his diagnosis.
Jesse pointed out that the doctors didn’t even call him in the morning, saying he had to call them! The nurse said: Oh, everything is fine. You have just accumulated calcium. The rookie mocked his health condition, saying: “I’ve been drinking my milk. My wheat has eaten. You tough nut, let’s go!”
And as if the timing was just right, his best friend, West, ran up to him and gave him a big hug. I love these two and their romance. Last week showed just how close the two are, as West comforted Jesse while worrying about the unknown.
Lindsey and Carl are at it again…
Just when I thought we could get a little break from the Lindsay/Carl saga, they returned to the center of my screen. Lindsay is clearly trying to hide her squeamish behavior by wearing a silk Big Bird suit. The influencer tells cameras that she’s been “walking on eggshells with Karl since last Sunday.” Let me remind you: Last Sunday, Carl was angry about having to drive home alone and sped off, throwing away Lindsay’s luggage.
As for Karl, he admits that he and his fiancée ended up in a “not a good place” last week. That’s taking it lightly, Carlito. Lindsay claimed she wanted a little space, but Carl proceeded to give her the entire Long Island Expressway while returning to New York City. When asked about the result, Carl indicated that he “sleeps in the other room.” The Loverboy employee is still upset by Lindsay’s thoughts about his career and tells the boys in a peacocking moment that he’ll “do what’s best for me.”
Secrets leaked
A lot of truth-telling happened at Dawn’s event, where Paige admitted, “I like to live wherever I want until I have kids. And then when I have kids, they have to go to school and stuff. So you have to live in one place. And I think that’s where Must be New York City, Connecticut, Long Island, New Jersey Fans don’t need a psychic to know that Paige has no intention of moving to Charleston.
However, Gabe’s ability to put West in his place is under the radar. When the Missouri man shared details of his date with Ciara, Gabby asked, “But are you afraid to take the next step and commit?” When West notices that this is his usual pace, Gabby backs off. She asks: “So you’re not afraid to commit?” But when West takes too long to answer, Gabby steps back and raises an eyebrow.
Am I in the twilight zone?
Once again, as the episode came to a close, fans saw the same fight between Lindsay and Carl. After discussing his future with Kyle on Loverboy, Lindsay jumped into questions, asking: “Did you guys negotiate that conversation?” Carl replied no, indicating that he was sharing things that kind of aligned with what I was thinking. I still haven’t gotten anything in writing and need something in writing to actually move forward. Carl shared the intricacies of Kyle’s oral presentation, which included taking 10% of the profits, $2,000 per appearance, and a monthly salary of $3,000.
When Carl shared his excitement about the show, Lindsay seemed less than impressed. The PR expert responded, “What am I supposed to be like ‘yay’ about?” “Nothing was done,” the former publicist said. Carl then left angrily, telling the blonde, “You decide what I do with my career. That would be great. I’m done.” Very sensitive, Karl.
Summer House continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
