Detective Amanda Rollins is back at work, and with a brand new title.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit alum I had gedishwho departed the NBC drama in 2022, makes her return in a sneak peek of the show’s October 17 episode.
In the clip, Giddish – who now works as a sergeant in the NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau – has an intimate meeting with his former partner Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).
“Sergeant!” Benson exclaimed before hugging Rollins tightly, adding, “Your first citywide briefing in the Intelligence Division, right?”
After meeting Rollins’ new partner, played by… John Clarence StewartBenson asks her old friend how she likes her new gig in intelligence.
“Don’t take this the wrong way, but I love it,” Rollins says. “It’s like eavesdropping on the whole world. And I want to thank you for putting in the word for me and pointing me in the right direction.” I missed my family all those long hours, and before that, I missed who I was even more.
