Stassi Schroeder Reveals Why Jax Taylor Feud Was Caused
In a recent excerpt from her new book, You Can’t Have It All: The Ultimate Guide to De-Stress , Stassi names names. And she doesn’t hesitate to go after Vanderpump Rules villain Brittany Cartwright. It’s been two years since Jax and Brittany pulled out of Stassi and Beau Clark’s Italian wedding at the last minute. And now Stassi is on her way to her own wedding. definitely “I didn’t get over the insult. And according to Stassi, the snub was annoying. She did her best to criticize the former couple. “Jax and Brittany were invited of course because they’re two of our closest friends,” the former SUR waitress noted. “They said yes, but I didn’t hear much from Brittany before the wedding, which is weird because you’re usually texting about how excited you are or asking what you’re packing or something,” Stassi explained.
“Not only that, but we started hearing from Rob, Bo’s best friend, that Jax was texting Tom Schwartz telling him they might not be at the wedding and listing the reasons behind it,” she added. The clip sheds light on what happened between the former friends.

According to Stasi, Jax went so far as to list the reasons he wasn’t coming to her wedding. “One of the reasons was that Jax doesn’t like Europe,” Stasi wrote. “I’m not saying they had to go to Italy. I understand that’s a big ask. But if they weren’t coming, they could have told us, and we could have invited a couple of people who wanted to come.” At the end of the day, Stasi felt that “a little bit of communication would have been nice, that’s what I’m saying. It hurt us not to be able to invite the people we care about. So this wasn’t a small thing for us; it was very hurtful.”
Of course, Jax and Brittany didn’t see it that way. Vanderpump Rules fans will remember that Brittany texted the day they were supposed to fly out to let Stassi and Beau know that Kochi’s family wouldn’t be there. For Stassi, “It was a slap in the face. They were supposed to be our friends who we had no choice but to have, and I felt like they didn’t respect that friendship at all.” Stassi joked about the former couple’s wedding, adding, “Their wedding in Kentucky was the highlight of our lives all summer when we were filming the show. We were there the whole time.”

For Stassi and Beau, the Kentucky Muffin letter was the last straw as she shared with readers, “Once I read that letter, Beau and I felt like we were done. I wasn’t going to give up on that letter.” However, Stassi’s main issue was with Jax because she thought Brittany wanted to come. In reality, Stassi was more upset that Beau had been tricked by Jax, and that she was tired of his lies. Stassi added, “A lot of people couldn’t come to our wedding, but they told us ahead of time and didn’t pretend they were coming until the last minute. That pushed Beau and me away from them.”
Since the fateful message, Jax has tried to reach out to Beau, but they haven’t met. “I know as I write this, they’ve broken up, so I wish them the best,” Stassi noted. “But that doesn’t mean what they did was right.” Hopefully, fans will get more gossip when Hulu airs Stassi’s new docuseries, “Stassi Says,” sometime next year. But for now, Jax is avoiding the drama that Brittany and Jax bring, and I can’t say I blame her.
