Tonight is the night the Summer Olympics open in Paris, France. The ceremonies on the River Seine are set to be the first of their kind. The Olympic motto, “Citius, Altius, Fortius – Communitre,” which means “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together,” is perfect for the spirit of the Games. But perhaps the most important aspect of the entire night are the performances. In reference to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Luanne de Lesseps had to sing Chic, c’est la vie. Beyond being truly elegant, the lyrics are also downright delightful. The Countess sings, “Little things can ruin you, so you’d better let them go. Confident and gorgeous. You know you hold the key.” The melodic vibes and rhythmic patterns will easily stick in the head of any audience. Soon the entire Seine ensemble will be singing Chic, c’est la vie, and when it translates to “gorgeous,” that’s life. Very good. Very good.

The Moulin Rouge is known as the birthplace of the modern can-can dance. So why not ask Sonja Morgan to bring her interpretation of the burlesque to the City of Lights? The opening ceremony wasn’t just about singing, it was about the arts. Each host nation loves to share what makes its history so special. So Sonja can sit in a life-size martini glass. All society has to do is toss her a feather scarf and nipple tassels.

No one wants to be late to the party when this amazing song is playing over loudspeakers throughout the stadium. Kim Zolciak is many things, but she always knows how to get the crowd pumped up for a good time. The smash hit was a great party anthem. With lines like “We’re gonna party all night long and we won’t sleep” and “I look good in this scene with sweat all over me.” Surely, Kim was referring to the immense pressure athletes put on themselves every day to train and win gold. As Kim herself sang, “Let’s party,” all of these competitors had accomplished.

But perhaps the greatest anthem of all time is Melissa Gorga’s “On Display.” The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has come a long way from singing in her basement recording studio to the Summer Olympics. Picture it: Paris, July 2024. Gorga is standing on an Olympic float, belting out her famous lyrics. The sun sets over the Eiffel Tower, and the iconic structure is illuminated in that perfect moment with twinkling lights. Audiences everywhere hear, “I feel the weight of the world pressing down on me. I feel everyone’s eyes watching me. I feel the heat of the light shining on me.” And that’s how the 2024 Olympics will open.
