TikToker Melanie Wilking reacts to cult doc Miranda Derek’s comments

After her sister Miranda Derek She shared a statement about her involvement with 7M Films, a management company that is the subject of the Netflix docuseries Dancing for the Devil: The Seven Months TikTok Cult– Claiming that the story was one-sided and that her family never supported her religious journey, Melanie responded.

Asked whether Melanie and her family did not support Miranda dedicating her life to God starting in 2020, the 25-year-old added: “At that point we knew she was in a cult, so of course we would have our guard up.”

Melanie also explained that after attending some events with the organization, she was able to see things about 7M and felt ignored by Miranda.

“I went to a couple of their dinners and a couple of the services that you have to be invited to, and I picked up all these red flags,” she explained. “So when you say we weren’t supportive, it was because I was seeing what you weren’t seeing. I could see that they wanted it, because I wasn’t going anymore. They wanted to tear us apart. And certainly enough to look where we are.”
