The Challenge’s Jordan Wiesley Targets Filming Season 40

After 40 seasons of the challenge, You would think that production behind the scenes would run like a well-oiled machine. Half the time, it’s the same handful of contestants showing up to do what they’ve been doing for years, but apparently, not everything is running smoothly. Ahead of the new season, Jordan Wesley I just made some major accusations against the production.

According to Jordan, filming season 40 was probably his worst experience yet. We’re just weeks away from the premiere of the biggest season of Challenge ever, but right now, Jordan is distracting us by wondering what really happened behind the scenes.

Jordan got some things off his chest.

The Challenge is obviously a physically demanding show. However, Jordan claimed that behind the scenes, they weren’t treated like high-performance athletes. Instead, he claimed that production treated them poorly, fed them garbage, and forced the contestants into an overall negative experience. If you thought Love is Blind was filmed in poor conditions, Jordan made the pods look like a walk in the park by comparison.

“When I say ‘The Challenge House is one of the worst environments you can live in,’ I’m not exaggerating,” Jordan wrote on Instagram. “This was the worst treatment we’ve ever received as a cast and it’s affected us all (more on that later).”

In the accompanying video, Jordan talked more about the poor filming conditions. Although the show requires a lot of fitness, he said that contestants end up “losing their fitness” during the competition. Some of us “lose our fitness” every day, but for Jordan, this was a big deal.

“Most people think we come to the Challenge house and work out all the time and turn into savages,” Jordan explained on IG. “No, the whole time you’re there, you’re out of shape. We’re treated like crap, we sleep like crap, we’re fed like crap, our schedules are crappy, and our 20-hour days are nothing.”

Adding fuel to the accusations, several of Jordan’s colleagues commented on his post in agreement. Mattie Lynn Brooks said the show was “the worst.” Theo Campbell chimed in, claiming he couldn’t even get a pair of shoes to fit him when filming the show. Seriously?

On his Instagram account, Jordan indicated that there are more details on this story that will come later. And when he is ready to talk, we will all be listening.

“The Challenge 40: Battle of the Ages” premieres Wednesday, August 14 at 8/7c on MTV.

Tell us – what is your reaction to Jordan’s allegations? Do you think any of the other former cast members will back up his claims?
