The Challenge Season 40: Banana and CT are among the returnees
It’s that time of year again! MTV just announced the challenge Season 40, and they are doing everything they can for the historic season. Of course, there are the usual suspects like Johnny Banana And Tambourine CTObviously, they never declined the invitation. But there are also contestants from the show’s entire 39th season.
Contestants will be divided into different ‘eras’. This word isn’t just for Taylor Swift. This is the battle of the ages! Teams will compete for the grand prize of $1 million. So, if you haven’t watched The Challenge in a while, we think this might be the movie to watch. There is literally a little bit of everything.
Era 1 (Seasons 1 – 10)
This is an old-school team from the early days of the show, all of whom have (almost) wins under their belts. They have CT, fresh off a win over The Traitors. Plus, there are all the classic faces on this show, like Mark Long and Anissa Ferrera. If you’re in your 30s, you probably root for this team.

Era 2 (Seasons 11 – 20)
Banana represents the second era of Challenge, when the show was still called the Road Rules/Real World Challenge. He will be joined by other heroes such as Cara Maria Sorbello and Laurel Stoke. You heard it here first, this team is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Era 3 (Seasons 21 – 30)
Compared to the rest of the teams, Era 3 doesn’t have a large number of champions, but the opponents they do have are heavy hitters. You have people like Leroy Garrett, who has competed 13 times, and Jonah Mannion, who recently won back-to-back seasons of The Challenge: All-Stars. They might get into a fight.

The Fourth Age (Seasons 31-39)
Last, and perhaps least, is the Fourth Age of Challenge. This group includes all modern-day challengers, with minimal experience and minimal wins. The only heroes in this team are Kaycee Clark and Jenny West, but there are also people from non-MTV shows in this group. Compared to the rest of the teams, this team looks like fresh meat, but maybe they will prove us wrong.
