Teresa opened up about her relationship with her parents during a new episode of her podcast, Turning the Tables. In case you missed it, she just renamed her podcast from Namaste B$tches after an apparent disagreement with her co-host. With this latest project, she delves into everything related to Tre, including her complicated relationship with her parents.

“My parents never told me growing up that they loved me,” Teresa shared, “so when I had kids, I just always wanted them to know how much I loved them.

Say what you want about Teresa and her relationships on RHONJ, but you can’t take away the fact that she’s an amazing mother (except for the whole prison thing). Her daughters have always been her first priority. This gives us a little more insight into why Teresa relates this way.

She continued: “The first time my parents told me that they loved me, was when Gia started saying that to them. So my children changed my father. When Jia started saying it to them when he was two or three years old, they started saying it to me.”

Basically, Teresa just confirmed that Gia has been this family’s saving grace since birth. We saw that when Teresa left, and we’ll probably continue to see that as their family develops. It’s just part of the responsibilities of being a big brother.
