Taylor Swift ‘in complete shock’ after stabbing attack in England

After a horrific stabbing attack at a children’s dance workshop in Southport, England, which left three children dead and eight others seriously injured – five of them children – the 34-year-old is expressing her grief.

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport continues to wash over me, and I am in complete shock,” Taylor wrote in an Instagram post on July 30. “The loss of life and innocence, and the horrific trauma experienced by everyone who was there, the families, and the first responders.”

“These were just little kids in a dance class,” she continued. “I’m completely at a loss and don’t know how to express my sympathy to these families.”

Merseyside Police confirmed on July 30 that three boys and girls aged six, seven and nine had died from their injuries in the hours following the attack on July 29, while five children and two adults remained in a critical condition.
