Sonja Morgan contemplates her New York City home after moving

It’s official! sonya morgana Real Housewives of New York alumna, is moving on. She’s officially saying goodbye to her home and marking the end of an era.

Sonia has been open about leaving her beloved New York City home. After years of trying to sell it, she finally put it up for auction and officially sold it in May. She joked that she felt a sense of relief when the sale was finally finalized. And it seems she’s more than ready to move on.

End of an era for Sonia

She also shared her farewell with her fans. Last Friday, she posted a series of Instagram posts showing clips of the process of packing up her famous home.

The RHONY alum took some time to reflect on the wonderful memories made at home, including raising her daughters, hosting dinner parties, and filming scenes for the show.

“This magnificent home has been a cornerstone of my life and that of my family,” she said. “It is a beautiful haven filled with laughter and love. I am excited to hand this wonderful home over to its next owner, who will undoubtedly create wonderful memories here.”

One of the videos she shared included a short clip of Sonia brushing her teeth one last time in the spacious 4,650-square-foot residence.

“Now, as I prepare to begin a new chapter, I feel lighter and ready to get back to my roots as an artist, with more time to be the creative individual that I am,” she concluded.

Sonia also posted a photo of the bright pink moving truck outside her former home with the caption, “Moving out!”

No fish is left behind.

While it was certainly emotional, the former housewife also felt a bit of comedy. She shared another video, asking movers if they could pack her koi fish for the move, too.

“I won’t leave without my fish,” she captioned the video. “The end of a completely different era.”

She said she bought the fish on a private island in Connecticut and had it for more than 29 years. When someone pointed out that one of the fish was dead, Sonia pulled it out and said she would have to give it a proper burial when she had time.
