Brandi Glanville’s lawsuit against Bravo explained
In January 2023, People reported that Brandi and Caroline Manzo were quickly exited from the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls tour after an untoward incident. While filming in Morocco, an insider revealed that Brandi went overboard with Caroline and kissed her several times without the RHONJ star’s consent. Nearly a year later, Caroline chose to sue Bravo and its affiliates — NBCUniversal, Shed Media, Forest Productions, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and Peacock TV – for “encouraging” and “allowing” Brandy to sexually harass her. Brandi was not named in the lawsuit, but that didn’t stop the former actress from taking the file personally. Brandi proceeded to file a lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen. In February 2024, Brandi’s attorneys, Brian Friedman and Mark Geragos, wrote a letter to NBC, Shed Media, and Warner Bros., accusing Andy of sexually harassing Brandi in a video sent to her in 2022. Brandi claimed she was severely damaged. Depressed and lost work.
Brandi Glanville’s lawyers are leaving her out in the cold
“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter said. “This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted,” her lawyer said earlier this year. “It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen will remain in office despite this behavior and takes us back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people,” Brandi claimed. In the clip, the Bravo leader said he wanted to “sleep With another Bravo star” while “thinking” about her. In the same message, Brandi also claimed that Andy invited her to watch him have sex over FaceTime.
On Monday, Brandi approached X to file a complaint about her legal case. In a now-deleted post, she shared that her lawyers had resigned. Brandi wrote via Page Six, “I mean, you can’t write that shit! (I think I’m doing that now.) After a year of telling me how rich I was about to become and how strong my case was against Bravo, the ‘lawyers’ decided I now didn’t have a case and cut ties with me.” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum added, “Maybe it #paid off?!? Allegedly.”
Brandi Glanville isn’t the only Bravo star suing the network
None of Brandi’s previous attorneys responded with comment as to why they decided to drop her as a client. But Brandy is not alone in her fight against the conglomerate. Bethenny Frankel has launched her own reality TV account. Rachel gave Levis a platform after scandal and single-handedly burned every bridge she once had. Leah McSweeney accused the production team of “engaging in guerrilla-type psychological warfare designed to pressure her into causing a psychological break and causing her to relapse.”
In April 2022, NeNe Leakes filed a lawsuit in Atlanta federal court accusing Bravo of creating a racist work environment. Even though Brandi has dropped her act, she is not a woman who gives up easily. She has yet to share her next steps, but fans can only assume she’s looking for a new set of lawyers.
