Simone Biles responds perfectly to criticism about her hair

Simone Biles I don’t understand why people act so strangely.

After all, the eight-time Olympic medalist has much bigger things to worry about than the state of her hair in the Paris summer heat — like helping lead the U.S. women’s gymnastics team to another gold medal. Still, on her way to the all-around team finals on July 30, Simone took a moment to shut down some online chatter.

“Don’t attack me about my hair,” the 27-year-old actress wrote on Instagram, in a video of herself using a small fan to cool herself. “It’s done, but the bus doesn’t have air conditioning and it’s like 90,000 degrees. And oh, the ride is 45 minutes,” she added.

Along with a kiss emoji, she continued: “I’m going to hold your hand when I say this. Next time you want to comment on a black girl’s hair, just don’t.”

So when it came down to it, Simone’s hair was the last thing on anyone’s mind as she competed with her teammates.
