Shawn "Didi" Combs appears to assault Ex Cassie in a 2016 video

Sean “Diddy” Combs He was apparently caught on camera assaulting the ex Cassie Ventura.

In a 2016 surveillance video obtained by CNN on May 17, a man believed to be the rapper — who has been the subject of legal charges in recent months — can be seen running down a hallway with a towel behind the “Me & U” singer beforehand. He grabs her, drags her to the ground, and kicks her several times. The video also shows him picking up the bags Cassie was carrying, pulling them out of a sweatshirt.

Later in the footage, which E! The news has not been independently verified. It appears that Diddy picks something up from the table and throws it at Cassie.

“The distressing video underscored Mr. Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior,” Casey’s attorney said. Douglas H. Wigdor He told CNN. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this matter to light.”

H! News has reached out to reps for both Diddy and Cassie — who were in a relationship for more than a decade starting in 2007 — and have yet to hear back.

The surveillance video emerged six months after Casey filed a lawsuit on November 16 against her ex-husband, accusing him of rape and abuse, allegations he denied. The couple settled the lawsuit a day later in an undisclosed agreement, though Diddy’s legal team said the settlement did not represent an admission of wrongdoing.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably provided I have some level of control,” she said in a statement to NBC News at the time. “I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
