On The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 Premiere, Shannon Bedore She will openly talk about her drunk driving. In a moment of weakness, the cameras caught the Housewives star crying in front of her daughters.
RHOC fans will surely remember the news of Shannon’s drunk driving. As Shannon explained in the first promo, she was trailing John Jansen in the dust after a drunken brawl. Once in the car, she revved her engine to express her anger and lost control.
Previous accounts do not seem to agree with Shannon’s version of events. However, despite all the rumors and unknowns, Shannon cannot deny that she was in an accident and arrested that night. Regret hits her like a bolt from the blue.
Shannon laments the example she set for her kids after being arrested for driving under the influence.
Shannon became unexpectedly emotional as she sat down with her daughters to discuss Stella Beddor’s college experience. She cried as she explained that she was unable to visit her daughter at college. “I was going to come visit you, and because of my mistakes, I couldn’t come, and I feel terrible.”
“I’m so sorry and humiliated that I let you down,” she continued. “Like, what kind of role model am I at 59?” Stella said she and her sisters were simply happy that Shannon was okay, and that she was looking forward to learning and growing. Still, Shannon lamented all the terrible things that happened that night.
“I’ve never broken a bone, I’ve never had a concussion, I’ve never been in an accident, I’ve never been arrested, I’ve never been convicted of driving under the influence, and I did it all in 10 seconds.” Still, Shannon assured her children, “God has a plan. I totally believe that.” She also noted that the experience led her to see “who is the person who acts like me?” [her] “True friends are.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 will air on Bravo on Thursday, July 11, at 9/8c.
