Season 47 of Survivor kicked off on Wednesday, September 18 with a 90-minute episode.

Season 47 of Survivor Survivor kicked off on Wednesday, September 18 with a 90-minute premiere. The contestants arrived in beautiful Fiji and were greeted by Jeff Probst, who informed them that their survival journey had begun.

The first episode was strong and gave us hope that Season 47 would be competitive and dramatic. There was deception, backstabbing, and a close vote at Tribal Council.

If you missed Wednesday’s episode, don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated.

Here are the key takeaways from the first episode…

Anika Dhar emerges as a strong player on Survivor 47

Survivor 47 - Immunity/ Reward Challenge: Under Pressure

Outcast Anika Darr emerged as the leader of the Jata tribe on Wednesday’s episode. Initially, the 26-year-old planned to play a quiet, background role, but her leadership skills came to the fore when it came time to set up camp. She took charge and helped lead her tribe through the set-up. While her tribe was grateful for the help, they also noticed how hard she was playing. After Jata lost the first Immunity Challenge, outcast Andy Rueda was quick to throw Anika under the bus.

Currently, Annika is in a good position in her tribe. She has the support of the girls and Sam Valen, who were not willing to change their vote against her in the first episode. She may not face any problems in the short term, but I have concerns about her long-term play. I think she showed her cards too soon.

All Eyes on Andy Rueda at Survivor 47

Andy Rueda brought the drama to the Season 47 premiere. The New York native suspected he was trouble after his tribe cheered John Lovett’s coconut-cracking skills over his own. Yes, that’s a real statement. Their lack of enthusiasm made him suspect they were planning to vote him off the island. After Jata lost the challenge, he had a nervous breakdown in an attempt to save himself. He told everyone, including Jeff, that his tribe didn’t like him and revealed his master plan to target his ally John. Everyone was like, “Well? Why are you telling us this?”

Back at camp, Andy tells John that he wants Annika to go instead of him. The Chaos King. John and Andy try to turn the vote against the camp leader but it’s too late. John’s fate is sealed.

John Lovett bids farewell to Survivor 47

Survivor fans were excited when it was revealed that John would be joining the cast for Season 47. John, 42, co-hosts the political podcast Pod Save America alongside former Barack Obama staffers Jon Favreau and Tommy Vietor. Viewers had high hopes for his performance and were disappointed to see him go on the first night.

He spoke about his early departure on Rob Cesternino’s podcast “Rob Has a Podcast.” The Survivor alum said Andy’s outburst made it harder for him to get the votes to save himself.

“I feel very confident that what I felt was right. It was a vote for me,” he said.[The plan] I had to tell Andy it was me, and he told me it was Andy. [to] try to make me not plan [my] “I was shot in the dark. I was a threat, Andy wasn’t.”

It’s true that the explosion can often work to the player’s advantage. Once a player reveals himself as overly emotional and untrustworthy, his threat level drops. Suddenly, no one sees him as a strategic player but as a ticking time bomb that is bound to explode on its own. There’s little incentive to get rid of these players. It makes sense to get rid of someone like John.

Who are the frontrunners?

It’s hard to know who will emerge as a standout candidate from one episode, but I have some predictions.

One Reddit user broke down the number of confessions for each player and found that Aysha Welch and Gabe Ortis scored the highest. Often, producers will show more confessions to players who play a big role in the season. I expect Aysha and Gabe to go far based on their edits in the first episode.

Seol Yi only made one confession on Wednesday’s episode, but he has already received a lot of support from fans. Fans on the Survivor forum are expecting him to reach a high position.

“Sol is my pick,” one user wrote.

“It’s awesome, I want to see more of it,” agreed another user.
