Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules was abysmal. All of the drama from season 10 was played out in real time, so there was nothing left to keep the story interesting. It was finally the end of an era; the cast knew it, and the fans knew it. But some of Bravo’s more cunning stars were more cunning than others. China tea and Lala Kent They were all trying to market themselves. The Valley Season 2. With Lala pregnant and Sheena giving birth, it was certain that they would appear together. Even if fans loved the cast as is.
No good news in the valley
I think Lala and Chyna could see the smoke signals from miles away that Vanderpump Rules was going down and burning. Both moms were simply production puppets, pushing the gas pedal hard during season 11 to stay in the spotlight. Chyna and Lala were caught on camera talking down Ariana Madix, and at that point I knew they wanted to jump ship to The Valley. Fan accounts caught the duo filming with Jesse Lally for season 2.
But fans also saw them grace the screen in Season 1 as cast friends. This time, Brittany Cartwright hosted a shark-themed pool party and the two were front and center. Lala was photographed showing off her bulging belly while the Good as Gold singer was by her side. It’s no surprise to see them filming. I imagine neither of them is ready to give up their Bravo paychecks. I’m just not sure if either of them has a storyline that viewers will care about. Everyone has an expiration date, so did these two ladies not figure that out?
Lala Kent and Shaina Shay have relationships
Again, it’s no surprise that Chyna and Lala would want to be considered for The Valley. They recently purchased homes near Valley Village, so the commute would be perfect. The Vanderpump Rules stars also have ties to the current cast. The past few months have shown that Chyna and Lala are still very close with their former co-stars Brittany and Kristen Doute. Not to mention, they’re on good terms with Janet Kaperna and Michelle Lalli.
Lala and Kristen also had a major feud back in May. No one saw the sympathetic character Kristen claimed to be in season one, with Lala sharing on the Vanderpump Rules After Show that she wasn’t happy watching the alum laugh off comments about her being a mom. “I’m not going to lie,” Lala noted. “Like, even though we’re great now, you’re the same person, but you’re also in your 40s now, so it’s kind of worse. Like, there’s no growth, and you’re also old now.” With drama like that, it would be hard for Bravo not to want to tape it so they can film the whole thing.
Jax Taylor on hiatus
In July, Jax Taylor shocked us all when he revealed that he would be entering an inpatient treatment facility. Although he will be leaving soon, he has missed some filming of The Valley. This could be another reason Bravo might add Chyna and Lala. Is Jax’s absence their golden ticket to the show? It’s hard to argue with the idea that the cast will need the girls to fill in the void while Jax is away. Season 2 is already shaping up to be a very dramatic one. So far, fans will get to see Jesse and Michelle’s divorce. Brittany and Jax are dealing with their long-term breakup. And we can’t forget how the Kentucky Muffin slammed Jax for failing to donate the money from his brief appearances to cancer research.
So, would I be surprised if Chyna and Lala were cast? No. But I would be disappointed. I hate to say that I agree with Jax, but I don’t think the fans need another crossover. Let The Valley stand on its own two feet. I’m so tired of Chyna crying and Lala being a badass. But only time will tell if Bravo thinks they’re needed full-time.
The Valley is streaming on Peacock.
