Rob and Crystal Kung Minkoff head to court over the incident

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Crystal Kong Minkoff He is scheduled to appear in court over her brother’s alleged crash. She will be present at the trial in Los Angeles Superior Court alongside her husband. Rob Minkoffand his brother, Jeffrey Kong.

The former RHOBH star left the show after three seasons. During that period, her close relationship with her brother was well documented. Now, the trio will stand together against a lawsuit filed by a woman who was allegedly injured in the accident.

In Touch revealed that the lawsuit was filed by Candice Shahande Rad in March 2023 against Crystal, Rob, and Jeffrey. The jury trial is scheduled to begin on May 25, 2025.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Candace claimed she was driving her 2018 Audi Q3 on November 13, 2022. She said the defendants’ vehicle struck her from behind. TMZ reported that Jeffrey was supposedly driving the car. Candace claimed he got out of the car after the collision and “admitted he was distracted.”

It seeks unspecified damages for all “past and future physical pain, mental suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, disfigurement, physical pain, inconvenience, grief, anxiety, humiliation, and emotional distress.”

No word yet on whether Crystal will discuss this mess on her new podcast.

The three defendants responded by denying all the accusations contained in the lawsuit. Their lawyer stated, “The defendants claim that if [Candice] You suffered or suffered a loss, damage or injury as alleged in the complaint, and such loss, damage or injury was directly caused by and contributed to [Candice] In failing to act in a manner ordinarily expected of a reasonably prudent person in the management of his or her affairs and person. Rob, Crystal, and Jeffrey petitioned the court to dismiss the lawsuit. The documents indicate that they did not want to pay any monetary compensation to the plaintiff.

The court ordered all parties to attend mediation in order to begin the trial.
