Report: The RHONJ cast is walking on eggshells
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Facing some of the lowest ratings ever. At this point, it’s a little too late for the actors to try to deliver. Viewers are likely to point to several reasons for the show’s low quality. Perhaps the most popular feud is between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. But rumor has it that even New Jersey queens are afraid of losing everything.
Are RHONJ’s low ratings Mel and Trey’s fault?
A source told The US Sun that the producers blame the OGs for the series’ low ratings. Furthermore, the source said, “It appears the staff is partly blaming Teresa and Melissa’s feud on poor ratings and an uncertain future.”
“Fans have followed their relationship since Melissa became a housewife in season three and want to continue to see the ups and downs,” the insider continued. As for the reunion, the source said, “There was a taping date set for the end of June, and as of last week, the entire cast received a phone call from the network and said they were no longer keeping the date because ‘we won’t have a traditional reunion.’
The insider assured readers that “it will become clear why there is no reunion.”
RHONJ reunion cancellation may signal a reboot
The cancellation of the reunion reportedly made the cast very nervous. “All the actors know nothing about the reunion and even what will happen after this season ends. It is still too early to know more about Season 15, but not everyone has a clue.
With ratings this low and everyone’s jobs potentially at risk, insiders have floated the possibility of a reboot. Kim DePaola also suggested a possible reboot after the cast’s reaction to the reunion’s cancellation.
“The staff seems more concerned about what will happen next and are waiting for another update.” The source added that the staff is “walking on eggshells.” “They are afraid to speak out and it might backfire and put their jobs on the line,” they explained.
