PK Kemsley Misses Drinking But ‘Benefits’ of Sobriety Outweigh It
During the thirteenth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the cameras caught up with… PK Kemsley’s Strained marriage with Dorit Kemsley. “BK was drinking a lot, he was really drinking,” Dorit explained on air. She also noted that his alcohol consumption made it “hard to have clear conversations,” so “BK stopped drinking.” Although their marriage continued to deteriorate, BK thankfully maintained his sobriety in Season 13. While he misses certain aspects of drinking, BK has never felt better, noting that the “benefits” of sobriety outweigh everything.

While PK and Dorit are still figuring out their next steps, leaving us wondering if they’ll split or work things out, there’s one area of PK’s life that remains constant: his sobriety. PK took to his Instagram account to announce his latest milestone. He just celebrated nine months of sober living. Now, he wants to reach out to others, as PK knows the “stigma around addiction” is bad.
All that matters to PK is making his journey public. He wants everyone to know that help is possible and that no one should be afraid to break their bottles. As PK writes, “Fear is a mile wide and an inch deep… so it’s like this ocean [that] You’ll step into it and sink, but once you step into it, you’ll discover that it’s not deep at all, and you can just keep walking through it.
While PK “misses drinking,” after “just 9 months, the benefits are… [of sobriety] “It’s so huge.” First, “you get to see your life as it was meant to be, raw, real, and beautiful.” Also, “you get to sit in the pain, and let it go, and you get to look and feel better… It’s so powerful and empowering, I can’t begin to tell you,” BK added.
He concluded his speech on a note of thanks, as PK has received “tremendous support” from the RHOBH fans.
