In June of that year, Gina was forced to file a restraining order against Matt after she accused him of domestic violence. At the time of filing, the mother of three claimed that Matt had attacked her after a night out. The father of three was later charged with two felony counts of domestic violence but pleaded not guilty.
Matt was sentenced to 180 days in jail, which he avoided by completing the state’s Violence Against Women program. Somehow, Gina found the courage to move on with her life and even forgive Matt. They are now co-parenting their children and seem to get along. Fortunately, during this time, Gina also met a new man, Travis MullenRecently divorced Travis showed Jenna what a healthy relationship could look like, giving the blonde hope.

In 2019, Jenna revealed on social media that she had finally found her man. She posted a photo of the two of them laughing, writing, “Always find a reason to laugh. It may not add years to your life but it will definitely add life to your year.” Speaking to Us Weekly, she said, “He’s an amazing person. He’s a really good, really kind, really sweet guy and unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I just really enjoy being with him and he’s so great, so we’ll see what happens.”
Travis seemed to fall in love with Jenna, so fans knew he was worth keeping. The relationship was originally arranged through a mutual friend. According to Jenna, neither of them expected to fall in love with the other, but somehow, it worked out.

In 2020, after just six months of dating, the couple decided to become the modern Brady family and move in together. Between six children, the couple blended in well with their families and seemed to live the perfect life, even in a small apartment. At the time, Jen told People magazine that the move was “kind of a big one.” Jen noted, “I know it’s crazy, but we’ve been together for half a year. When I think about it, I’m like, ‘That’s not that long.’ But I honestly feel like I’ve known him forever. It feels like a lot longer.”
Jenna has stated that she was more than content to live her life on her own, saying: “It’s the weirdest thing. I’m not the type of person who should be with a man or in a relationship.” The mother of three revealed: “Even during the drama with my ex, I was totally fine being on my own and doing my own thing. But from the moment I started talking to Travis, I knew I had intense feelings for him.” When the global pandemic hit, they were both isolated together.
One year together
After surviving COVID-19, the couple had reason to celebrate. In August 2020, Gina posted a sweet tribute to her man as she acknowledged their one-year wedding anniversary. After posting a series of photos, the mom of three wrote, “It’s been an amazing year with an amazing man! 2020 may go down as one of the worst years for many, but not for me. @travis.mullen.85 I love you baby and I love our life together.”
Gina’s thoughts on marriage
Throughout their relationship, Gina has been very clear about her lack of intentions to get married. “If we get married, great,” she told The Daily Dish. “But if we never get married, I’m fine with it, you know? For me, I think I look at marriage in general differently. I think it’s much more important to have a happy, high-functioning, solid relationship than to have a degree or something.”
But during season 16, Travis shared with Terry Dubrow that he had bigger plans, telling the plastic surgeon that he could see himself marrying Gina in “one to three years.”

In August 2023, the couple posted photos of their special date night. Jenna revealed that their relationship is still going strong, having now reached its fourth year. “Thank you for putting up with my sassiness and always making me laugh,” Jenna, a Long Island native, wrote. The couple looked happier than ever!
Trouble in Heaven
However, as the couple’s five-year anniversary approaches, all does not seem to be well. Season 18 sees Jenna move out of their shared apartment, claiming that the kids need more space. In the first episode, Jenna shares via confession that she’s reached her wits’ end with Travis’s baggage, aka his ex-wife. Jenna alludes to external factors, stating that “the hardest part of[her]relationship isn’t the relationship.” Travis’ ex-wife causes a lot of turmoil as Jenna reveals that she’s decided to move abroad until his divorce is finalized.
Travis and his ex-wife are separated, which means the judge is asking him to resolve some issues in a separate hearing rather than waiting until the divorce is fully finalized. “Honestly, we need to live separately and see where things go,” Jenna told the cameras. “God, I hope these two can work this out.”
