Not a day goes by without me quoting Bravo Celebrities. Just yesterday, I remarked: “He’s drained me today,” which came from the mouth of the immortal Marlo Hampton. There’s something about Bravo’s personality and their words of wisdom that’s so different from the advice a parent would give. For the past decade, viewers have been absorbing the wise words of their favorite stars. And implement it in their daily lives. And I, personally, would be lost without my favorite quotes.
Bravolib Dorinda Medley: “Eagles don’t fly with pigeons”
I quote the Queen, also known as Dorinda Medley, on perhaps a weekly basis. But her statement “Eagles do not fly with pigeons” remained without any rent in my mind. Honestly, she wasn’t wrong in her way of thinking. Why would someone who holds himself to such a high standard want to follow a servant? Dorinda was on one of the trips during her Real Housewives Ultimate Girls trip. Kristin Taekman is getting hot with her history on RHONY. D wasn’t about to hand out bread crumbs to one-hit wonders and wanted everyone to know she was at the top of the food chain.
Craig Conover: “What’s wrong with my stitching?”
There was something about Southern Charm’s Naomi Olindo and Craig Conover fighting in ’60s attire that made this fight that much more fun. Craig has transformed into his own version of Martha Stewart as he has found a passion for gardening and sewing. But Naomi was exhausted from her boyfriend lying about law school and doing nothing while she was working hard. In the midst of the battle, Naomi said condescendingly: “Sit at home, sew…” hoping to snap Craig out of his housekeeping obsession. Instead, he looked at her with his puppy dog eyes and asked, “What’s wrong with my sewing?” There’s nothing wrong with your own tailoring, Craig, as proven by his successful brick-and-mortar shop.
James Kennedy: “Moustachioed Worm”
It’s safe to say that a scandal has rocked our little bravosphere. When news broke that Tom Sandoval and Rachel Levis were having a months-long affair behind Ariana Madix’s back, all hell broke loose. Tom and Rachel were on their own private island while the entire world rallied around Ariana. The reunion got heated when the blonde took out her ex-girlfriend without a care in the world. When Tom tried to defend himself, DJ James Kennedy became very angry. He first called his former best friend a “poo head.” He then doubled down by calling the amateur singer a “mustachioed worm.” You can’t hear classical music like this.
Bravo legend Tamra Judge: “This is my opinion!”
Who hasn’t found themselves involved in a fight where the other person acts like an ostrich with their head in the sand? Unable to listen to reason, it is normal for the other person to feel frustrated and lash out. This is exactly what happened between Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson. As Real Housewives of Orange County fans know, Vicki was deceived by Brooks Ayers’ lies, and Tammy Sue saw through it. Tamra was just trying to share her concerns about how she thought Brooks wasn’t good to Vicki during the reunion, but Vicki wasn’t feeling it. What the fans were presented with was a “This is my opinion!” The quote I use during every major battle – I have.
Bravo alum Bethenny Frankel: “Go to sleep! Go to sleep! You’re crazy!”
Patience Bethenny Frankel left the island after a tough dinner with Kelly Bensimon. The model had been acting strange all night, and the businessman had had enough. Bethenny felt like she was vindicated after the “crazy exit,” but at the end of the night, fans really felt like Kelly needed to get some sleep. Kelly was tired of being attacked in the press and seemed to lose her grip on reality for a few hours.
Kelly began telling Bethenny how she didn’t like her and felt like she was “going to kill her,” all while sucking on gummy bears. Finally Bethenny blew up her shirt and shouted, “Go to sleep! Go to sleep!” Go to sleep! You are crazy. When I respond to this quote, I’m usually screaming at my brain, which doesn’t turn off at bedtime. No matter how you use this quote, it has been one for the ages.
