Nicola Coughlan reveals how she found out about Lady Whistledown Twist

If Mrs. Whistledown’s identity has come as a surprise to you during this BridgertonAt the end of Season 1, I was probably already alone. After all, Whistledown’s own actress Nicola Coughlan– also known as Penelope Featherington – knew her secret identity before she even set foot on set.

But if you think you’ve learned it from reading the original book series, think again.

She continued: “And then I proceeded to tell everyone, so it was a surprise to no one on staff because I couldn’t stop talking about him.”

Ironically, Seth was sure to point it out. “It turns out you’re a good person at keeping a secret,” he joked, and Nicola, 37, agreed, saying: “That’s complete nonsense, yeah.”
