Netflix is the place to go when you want to watch an exciting reality show.
Netflix Netflix is the place to go when you want to watch an exciting reality TV show. The streaming platform started producing reality TV shows in 2018 but has really pushed the genre to the cutting edge. Netflix’s reality TV shows are spicy, dramatic, and oftentimes mind-boggling.
If you’re looking for a reason to stay glued to your couch this week, we’ve got you covered.
Here are the best reality TV shows to watch on Netflix in 2024:
Love is Blind on Netflix
Love is Blind season 6 dropped in February, and it was absolutely amazing. Viewers watched as a group of excited singles from North Carolina headed to “the rooms” in hopes of finding the love of their lives without being seen. Thankfully, season 6 did not disappoint. Just like the previous five seasons, it was just as chaotic. There were fights, love triangles, and quite a few famous lines that we still find ourselves quoting. If you haven’t watched the new season yet, you need to put it on your watch list now.
Love on the Spectrum
Love on the Spectrum season 2 was released in January. The second season was just as heartfelt and inspiring as the first. A few fan favorites from the first season returned to the show, including Danny Bowman and Abby Romeo Lotz. In addition to the returning cast members, a few new singles were added to the mix. The new season was sweet, comforting, and seriously addictive. I think I watched the entire season in two days. I highly recommend it.
Queer Eye on Netflix
Netflix’s first reality show returned in January with its eighth season. In the new season of Queer Eye, we meet the Fab Five in New Orleans, Louisiana, where they are tasked with changing the lives of locals in the community. As always, the cast is fully equipped for the task. Season 8 has included protagonists like a football coach and a nun. It’s inspiring, uplifting, and definitely worth a watch. Run, don’t walk, to catch the latest episodes!
Perfect match
Perfect Match season 2 dropped in June. The new batch of sexy singles featured several Netflix fan favorites like Love Is Blind star Jessica “Jess” Vestal and Dated & Related star Alara Taneri. Netflix’s favorite sex boy, Harry Jowsey, also joined the cast and, as usual, broke some hearts. Perfect Match feels a little messier and less structured than other Netflix reality shows but that’s exactly why it’s so compelling. Everyone’s hot, everyone’s crazy, what more could you ask for?
The Circle on Netflix
The Circle returned for its sixth season in April. The competition-based reality show uses the power of social media to create a complex, ever-changing social strategy game where the winner wins a cash prize. This year, the show has added a touch of artificial intelligence to confuse and challenge players. Want to know more? Well, check it out on Netflix, of course!
There’s still more to come this year…
In addition to the reality shows Netflix has already launched in 2024, there are a few beloved shows returning later this year.
The Mole returns for its seventh season on Friday, June 28. The series originally aired on ABC from 2001 to 2008. Netflix brought it back to life in October 2022 after a fourteen-year hiatus. The show’s format is simple. Twelve players are given a number of tasks to complete in order to earn money for a group prize. But wait, there’s a catch. Among the group of 12 players is a “mole” whose sole mission is to sabotage the game. If the contestants want to increase the prize pool, they’d better figure out who the mole is fast.
Another show returning this summer is Too Hot to Handle. The show first aired during the COVID-19 pandemic and it delivered the kind of entertainment we’ve been craving. Basically, a group of attractive people try to stay out of each other’s way in order to make money. Yes, that’s the basic premise. It may sound weird, but it’s a lot of fun to watch.
