Mike Tyson suffers a medical emergency during his flight to Los Angeles

The boxer was on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 26 when he suffered a medical emergency. As confirmed by the 57-year-old’s rep Page sixTyson suffered “nausea and dizziness due to an ulcer that broke out 30 minutes before landing.”

The spokesman added: “He appreciates the medical staff who were there to help him,” noting that he is now “in great condition.”

Tyson’s health issue comes two months before he is scheduled to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match, which will stream live on Netflix on July 20.

“Can’t wait for Jake to wake up,” Tyson captioned a poster for the bout on Instagram on May 25, to which the 27-year-old YouTuber responded in the comments, “Titanium > Iron.”

Paul also called out Tyson on his Instagram page earlier this month. “Titanium Jake Iron Mike is going to sleep,” he wrote on May 13. “The fun has begun.”
