Melissa Gorga Talk again about The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 Leaks. For those who missed these leaks when they happened, here’s a quick rundown of them.
During the 14th season of RHONJ, some cast members leaked footage from the episodes and behind-the-scenes information to social media accounts and bloggers (not us, please). These footage encouraged internet users to promote certain narratives about the show.
In particular, they were asked to speak negatively about some of the RHONJ cast members. Fans and the media primarily accused Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin of leaking the stories. Recently, Melissa shared some additional reflections on the whole ordeal.
Melissa Gorga accuses leakers of trying to produce the show
Melissa recently appeared on the September 11 episode of No Filter With Zack Peter. While there, she discussed “how our cast mates were talking to bloggers and giving them auditions.” She described such behavior as “crazy and genius,” and compared the strategy to that of a “mastermind.” This was the behavior of someone who was “really trying to win,” according to Mel.
“When you have cast members who cheer you on then [bloggers]“And do you want to call them personally on the phone? Now your favorite reality TV star is ringing your phone. Then you’re going to escalate things, I guess, and take it to the next level, and make some of the other cast members as miserable as possible….” In fact, the cast members took advantage of their fans.
On that basis, Melissa said Bravo had to step in at that point. She then explained that since prominent social media users were so vocal about certain cast members, it didn’t take long to figure out that they were probably on someone’s payroll. “When cast members get to that point, and they live and breathe the show… maybe it’s time to take a break.”
Melissa claimed that the best reality TV shows came from a lack of investment in cameras. Hence, real reality. “Live your life, speak your truth.” Melissa then compared the leakers to ambitious show producers, who try to organize everything their own way.
