According to documents obtained by the American newspaper The Sun, Robert Jr. is currently in an inpatient treatment facility in California. His attorney informed the judge overseeing his DUI case that he could not attend the Aug. 15 hearing because he was seeking treatment. It’s not clear when he checked in or what specific treatment he was seeking. However, documents indicate that he entered the facility sometime after July 19.

According to previous court records from July, Robert appears to have had substance abuse issues. Records indicate he completed certain aspects of the court order, such as 10 days of detoxification treatment and home confinement. However, a report was made stating that it was “incompatible” with other aspects of alcohol testing and drug treatment.

In May, court records state, Robert Jr. “tested positive for cocaine, fentanyl and THC,” when he was initially ordered to an inpatient treatment facility. The initial DUI charge stems from an incident that occurred in March 2022. During that arrest, Robert Jr. did not have a driver’s license and was caught throwing beer cans in a trash can. He denied drinking alcohol, but recently admitted he “took some OxyContin and Xanax and smoked marijuana,” according to court records. He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
