Luke Goodwin, YouTuber who battled rare cancer, dies aged 35

The YouTube community mourns the loss of an inspiration.

Luke GoodwinA man from Grimsby, England, who documented his battle with stage four leiomyosarcoma on his YouTube channel I Will Not Be Defeated, died on August 2, while his wife died Becky His death has been confirmed. He was 35 years old.

“This is a video I never wanted to make,” she said in an Aug. 4 video on Luke’s YouTube channel. “Luke sadly passed away peacefully on August 2nd. He was at home. He was with me, Becky, his wife, his mom and dad. Luke is at peace now. He is in no pain.”

Becky – who shares children Taylor5, and Scarlett3 years old, with Luke—began to choke up when talking about her late husband.

“Luke is an amazing person, he really was. He showed me how to be strong even when I was going through the hardest times. He was an amazing father, son and husband, and his legacy will live on,” she continued.
