What happened on The Real Housewives of New York, Season 15, Episode 3?

The women arrived in the Hamptons eager to relax and enjoy a much-needed break from the city. The trip was a walk in the park compared to last year. The women did not complain about the temperature in Irene’s house, nor did they lament the lack of food. I would call that a success! Overall, the episode was relatively uneventful. Cy and Brian cleared the air, Jenna gifted Giselle with underwear she actually liked, and Erin finally made enough food. However, Oppa was there to keep the temperature up on the drama scale.

Drama in the Hamptons

It wouldn’t be a Rooney girls’ trip without a little drama. The first bout of tension occurred before half the cast arrived. Erin wasted no time telling Psy and Opah that Raquel felt as if Psy had cut her off from the carpool. According to Raquel, she told Sy that she got car sick and wouldn’t be able to drive with them unless she was in the driver’s seat. She told Irene that Sai did not agree to this request, so she had to drive alone.

Sai quickly pulled up screenshots that proved she had not abandoned the newbie and was willing to coordinate leadership plans. When Raquel arrived, Psy confronted her about the carpool drama. It was all a big misunderstanding. Sy interpreted Raquel’s “I need to drive” text as her saying she wanted to drive separately, but in reality, Raquel was asking if she could drive Sy’s car.

I’m team Sai on this. It’s bold to ask a new friend to drive his car.

Sai and Brain work things out

After the girls settled down, Sai and Brain sat down to have a peace talk. Sy explained that she was hurt because Brienne told Jenna that she hated her. Brienne, eager to put an end to the he-said/she-said game, calls Jenna to explain her side of the story.

Jenna said that although Brain may have been one of the people who told her about Psy’s trash talk, there were many others. Cy continued to pressure Brienne about her involvement, which did not go well. Brienne started yelling at Sy for focusing on sharing her and not worrying about other people who told Jenna the same story. Sai ended the peace talks and walked out of the room.

Brynn decided to take the high road and surprised her ex-girlfriend with a hug. Sai accepted the gesture. I guess this means they’re friends again? It’s hard to know these two.

The Real Housewives of New York Gift Exchange

If you watched Season 14 of RHONY, you know that Jenna loves gifts. In last night’s episode, Erin tried to outdo the “talent” by giving all the women personalized gift baskets. Unfortunately, Jenna was ten steps ahead. She brought out boxes full of lingerie for all the women.

She parodied Jessel’s Season 14 lingerie meltdown by giving her a Christmas tree costume instead of a sexy outfit. If you know, you know. Lucky for Giselle, Jenna got a second gift for her. She followed up the joke gift with a gorgeous black lingerie set. Unlike last year, Giselle was happy with the clothes (thankfully). She didn’t go around the house talking about how ugly she looked in Jenna’s gift.

After the gifts, the women headed to dinner to catch up and get to know the new cast members. Raquel was the first victim. The women asked her about her gorgeous fiancée, Mel Corpus. She shared their engagement story, telling the ladies that Mel popped the question while riding a motorcycle with friends. She also showed off her giant, unique engagement ring, which astonished all women. She’s definitely one of the coolest housewives ever.

Rebecca’s friend also shared some wild stories. She spoke about how she dated a man to get into a gorgeous apartment in New York and revealed how she lost her virginity when she was a teenager. She told the girls that her parents allowed her to use birth control as a teenager if she promised to stay away from drugs. It seemed like a very fair deal to me, but the women were terrified. truly? Aren’t these the women who talked about having sex in public last year?

Aoba calls Brienne a dove

Episode 3 ended with Aoba walking out on Brienne. The conversation began with Aoba trying to explain why Sai felt isolated from the group. She said the group was twisting her words and using her as a pawn. Brain jumped in and asked Aoba why she was serving as Sai’s spokesperson. The comment clearly aroused Aoba, who responded by telling Brain to “shut up.” OK.

The comment led to Aoba going on a rant about how everyone is a “dove”, accusing them of spreading rumors and misinformation. She directed most of her anger at Breen, whom she considered “the biggest dove in the group” and described as “a snake you don’t see coming.”

The argument ended when Sai shouted, “Pineapple,” which made Aoba stop yelling. I’m confused. Have they established this in advance as some sort of safe word? The fight is over but something tells me the Brynn/Ubah feud will continue… Anyway, here’s what you missed on Tuesday’s episode of Real Housewives of New York Season 15.
