For the most part, the two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars got along well, but recently, their relationship has taken a turn. Season 13 highlighted the cracks in their organization, especially after Dorit expressed concerns about Kyle’s priorities. At the time, the OG was spending a lot of time with her rumored friend, Morgan Wade. But the whole thing took a terrible turn when Kyle pointed out that Dorit had overhyped their friendship, leaving them in limbo.
Season 7 debuts
Dorit made her debut on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2016. Lisa Vanderpump brought her on, but quickly hit it off with Kyle. The friendship triangle caused a rift between Kyle and LVP, who eventually left the series. For a few episodes after that, Kyle and Dorit were good friends, and there was almost nothing between them. But when Teddi Mellencamp joined the show for season 8, something changed.
Kyle took Teddy’s side in the argument, leaving Dorit confused. At the time, the Beverly Beach founder told cameras: “I don’t know why one of my best friends would cling to someone she just met instead of supporting me. It really hurts me. It feels so wrong. This would become a recurring theme.”
Puppy gate
When Season 9 began, it seemed like Kyle had learned her lesson. Fans learned of Puppygate when little Lucy Apple Juicy (Dorit’s dog) ended up in a kill shelter. At the time, Dorit rescued the pup from Vanderpump Dogs. Kyle remained steadfast in her loyalty, but it cost her her friendship with Lisa. But for Dorit, this seems to prove that she has a real friend within the child actor.
But the love did not last long. In Season 10, the two women stopped speaking to each other after Dorit suggested that Kyle would “throw her name” on anything to gain popularity. The suspension did not go well.
Dorit was robbed
In Season 12, Dorit had a horrific experience as the first episode showed a tape showing the mother of two being robbed at gunpoint. B. K. Kemsley was away in London on business, and Dorit was home alone. Kyle and the rest of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rallied around her in her time of need and Kyle showed a lot of support. I felt like these two were back on track.
Friendship collapses
The Season 12 reunion is where everything started to go wrong. Kyle and Kathy Hilton were having one of their many arguments. But when Dorit tried to give her two cents, Kyle stopped her, saying: “I don’t want you to get involved in this right now.” Fast forward to Season 13, and nothing seems to have improved. Friendship is more difficult than ever, thanks to Kyle’s new affinity for Morgan.
Dorit confided in Erika Jayne, sharing: “There are things going on between me and Kyle, and it hurts and upsets me the most. I haven’t heard from her in a few months. Then she texted me yesterday, basically trying to silence me. It was very manipulative, and Very calculated.” Kyle’s text was displayed on the screen and read: “They don’t even know we’re going through a tough time, so I don’t see the need to bring it up here. I should have said something urgent, but I honestly wasn’t strong enough. But relationships and you are more important to me than RHOBH.
Whatever happens, fans will get to see their friendship unfold in Season 14. While Dorit is confident they’ll find their feet, I wouldn’t be entirely sure of that outcome. Kyle has been known to cut people off for disrupting her status quo. I think Dorit could be collateral damage if OG feels targeted.
