Kyle Cook reveals an update on NJ Move with Amanda Patula
Season 8 of Summer House has been documented Kyle Cook And Amanda Batula Discussions about leaving town. While Amanda prepares to go to the wide open spaces of New Jersey and start a family, Kyle isn’t ready to leave Manhattan.
After looking at Amanda’s dream house in the suburbs, Kyle admitted he was hesitant to leave New York City and settle down. But in a May 23 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Kyle shared his timetable for leaving town.
Admitting that he and Amanda are finally “on the same page” about the topic, Kyle gave host Andy Cohen an answer. “As soon as we start a family, we will leave,” he said.
When a child makes three
This is the deadline. When Amanda becomes pregnant, they will move to Jersey. Instead of spending time clubbing until 4:00 a.m., Kyle will wake up to eat and change diapers at 4:00 a.m.
“We’re probably not going to look seriously for a house or have a very serious conversation about where we’re going to live until I’m pregnant,” Amanda shared. “Kyle works great under pressure. So, there has to be a reason.”
Even if Kyle is still dragging his feet, Amanda says she’ll leave New York, with or without her husband. “Oh, we’re moving to New Jersey,” she said. “Like 100 percent. I’m moving on my own and we’re going to have a long-distance relationship if he’s against it.”
While he may be ready for a house with a picket fence in a few years, Kyle isn’t ready yet. In Season 8, Episode 7 of Summer House, Kyle and Amanda looked at a beautiful house in New Jersey. But Kyle expressed that he would miss their apartment in New York and would feel isolated in the Garden State.
“I would also feel completely isolated from society,” he said during an episode of the Summer House After Show in April. “Amanda is OK with that, I’m not. But the thing that scares me the most is that if we jump prematurely to the suburbs, I feel like I’ll be trapped…I work a lot, and I need a social outlet. I’ll feel completely cut off from society.”
