Kristen Doute explains the ‘transition’ between her journey on Vanderpump Rules and

It is difficult to imagine a legacy Vanderpump Rules without Christine Doty. The first seasons wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t for Kristen’s chaotic antics driving the drama. Seriously, who knows where we would be if Kristen and Jax Taylor hadn’t infamously hooked up while watching Drive years ago? Recently, Kristin returned to Bravo thanks to Valley. Kristen, Jax, Brittany Cartwright and some newbies tried to convince us that they had grown and matured beyond drunken debauchery. As The Valley’s first season quickly proved, that’s not quite the case.

Despite still being involved in the messy drama on The Valley, Kristen recently spoke to Us Weekly about all the growth she’s done since her VPR days.

“It showed a lot of restraint that viewers might not have expected,” she said of The Valley. “That had a lot to do with all the therapy and work I put into myself.” Do we think Christine showed any restraint in the Valley? Apparently this is up for debate!

Overall, Kristen hopes that fans will see her grow after being fired from VPR. “I hope that gets filmed [to] Then she said, “I show the changes I choose to make — that education, learning, humbling myself, and listening.” “People can understand why there was such a shift between the Vanderpump Rules Kristen that everyone knows on The Valley Kristen.”

Again, do we think there has been such a radical transformation in the valley? Kristen screaming about having a secret boyfriend in the hotel lobby seems like classic Kristen behavior. However, she took some time to think.

Finally, Kristen was grateful that fans allowed her to grow at her own pace. “They don’t define me and trap me in the ‘Crazy Christine’ narrative that it was [shown on] “Vanderpump Rules throughout my 20s and 30s,” she concluded. Ultimately, I think we’ll have to wait for season 2 to see more of that growth that Kristen talks about.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock.
