Kenya hit Moore with her five-figure tax bill before commenting

As Ben Franklin said: “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.” The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore I recently learned the truth about this old proverb.

On March 14, just weeks before her alleged suspension from RHOA, the tax man showed up with a bill for nearly $15,000. Apparently, Kenya forgot to pay taxes in Fulton County, Georgia, in 2023.

Court documents show Kenya received a “Fieri Facias,” a court order ordering the sheriff to collect the amount owed or collect property to satisfy the judgment. The county has not yet filed a lien release.

This is not Kenya’s first relationship with the tax collector. In 2018, the IRS filed a lien on property in Kenya in the amount of $150,000, for the 2016 tax year. That bill was eventually approved and passed, In Touch reported.

In addition to her tax woes, Kenya faces the loss of her Bravo salary. Just last week, news broke that Kenya was suspended from filming due to unacceptable behavior towards one of her co-stars. Guests at Kenya Moore’s hair spa were reportedly shocked by prominent posters depicting castmate Brittany Eddy performing a sex act.

While Brittany did not attend the event, several of her fellow Atlantans did, including Kenya’s best friend Porsha Williams. Sources claim that the obscene posters were in retaliation for the alleged threats Brittany made towards Kenya before the event.

Production sources rejected claims of a threat, saying: “At no time was Kenya threatened with a weapon, and no weapon was ever present during the production process.”

In the wake of the allegations, Kenya posted a lengthy post on Instagram. “Don’t believe everything you hear and half of what you see,” she wrote. “The truth always comes to light… I will never engage in revenge porn, have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor have I solicited proprietary images of others for use in threats or blackmail. [and] I have always been vindicated. I can’t talk about STORY even with people who plant fake news #sweet16.”

“I am amazed and amazed,” Castmate Drew Sidora posted on social media.

“It’s never a good feeling to be targeted or harassed by someone who I thought was going to include me in a new circle I’ve never met…and for the record, I’ve never owned any weapons or been threatened,” Brittany responded in her defense. Anyone ever. I’ve never been to prison, in [a] Fight, or even had a speeding ticket. This is not my personality. I cringe at the narrative being presented. Wrong is wrong.” It’s very sad for her to come to a new job already dealing with such open hostility from a co-worker.

Bravo has not yet commented. Maybe if Kenya is suspended, it can work on this tax status…

Real Housewives of Atlanta is now streaming on Peacock.
