Katie Ginella talks about meeting her mother for the first time
junior Katie Ginella It fit very well on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The former golf reporter immediately became friends with Shannon Beador, which is no easy feat. She also brought drama on day one with alleged receipts that Heather Dubrow shot at the paparazzi on herself. Katie has also been an open book. Not only did she discuss her divorce, but she also discussed her adoption. And now Katie may have more family news to share along with the possibility of meeting her mother.
Katie Ginella is hoping to meet her mother after filming a RHOC reunion
Not many people are comfortable with sensitive topics on camera, but Katie did it with ease. She had a touching scene when her daughter decided to take her stepfather’s last name. This was a big deal because her daughter and her father were no longer speaking. The family dynamic is very important to Katie, which is why we may be able to see more of her soon.
Katie sat down with Bravo & Blaze to discuss the possibility of meeting her mother. “We were actually supposed to… go see my mother in May, and then it got postponed to June,” she said. “And then my father-in-law went into hospital care. He was 90, and he went into care, and then He was transferred to a nursing home and died in July.
She continued, “We kind of postponed our trip…unfortunately. We’re working with tours in Korea because I think my husband’s production company wants to make a documentary about this…so now we’re going next month because we’re going to be filming the reunion soon, and they didn’t… I’d like to cloud anything before then so we’re going after the reunion, but we’ll probably meet my real mom.
This big moment and the making of a documentary might be why she’s not sure she’ll be back next season. Katie has already proven she can handle hosting a dinner party from hell, so who knows what she can bring to the table on RHOC.
