Kathryn Dennis melts in dashcam footage during arrest
Just when I thought about it Catherine Dennis‘A DUI arrest couldn’t be more humiliating, here come the cops with dash cam footage. If you’ve been following along, the former Southern Charm was arrested for drunk driving. She was hit by a car, and when the cops searched her car, they found a bunch of small Fireball bottles in a brown paper bag.
TMZ obtained dashcam footage from the arrest, and it shows Katherine having a complete and complete breakdown. The whole time, she had her dog with her which made the whole thing even more dramatic. We’ve seen our favorite Bravolebs in some precarious situations over the years, but this one will definitely go down in the history books.
No magic, just angry tears
In the clip, Katherine is seen handcuffed in the back of the cop car as she screams and talks about how she shouldn’t be in the back seat. However, police said they could smell alcohol on her and also found empty bottles in her car. It wasn’t hard for them to put two and two together. However, Catherine felt that she did not belong there.
“You will ruin my life and my children.” “Thanks for nothing because you didn’t even take a field sobriety test to see if you were legit or not,” Katherine said.
According to the dashcam video, the officer conducted a field sobriety test. She failed, and that’s how she ended up in the back of a cop car. Regardless, Katherine raged at the officers. She once said that they were treating her like an “animal.”
Then it became clear to her that she was carrying her dog with her during this alleged sea trip. She started crying hysterically, thinking the cops were going to send her puppy to dog jail. Through tears, she said she didn’t care about her life, she only cared about her children and her dog.
Anyone who has been around a drunk person knows that soon after hysterical crying comes hulk-like rage. In particular, Fireball seems to have this effect on people. Sure enough, the dashcam footage showed Katherine, like clockwork, becoming increasingly aggressive with the officers. When one of the officers got “too close” to her, she exploded.
“You’re disgusting,” she once told the officer, before threatening to “sue that shit” out of the police station.
“I’m not stupid,” Catherine claimed. “My ex is a criminal. I know how this works.”
In the dash cam footage, Katherine correctly predicted that the officers would take her to jail and release her the next morning. She also claimed that she would be suing for drunk driving. It’s unclear where she stands in the process, but she is scheduled to appear in court on June 4 to address the DUI.
