JoJo Siwa plays a part in Beyoncé and Diddy’s plot with an on-stage shout-out

The “Karma” singer raised eyebrows when she made a trend that appeared to play into a viral theory she claims Beyoncé Connected to Sean “Diddy” Combs Amid his arrest on sex trafficking charges while accepting her trophy at the 2024 Industrial Dance Awards.

“I also have to thank Beyoncé just so we can keep the dance community safe,” JoJo said while on stage on October 8. “Beyoncé, you have great music. We all love to dance to it. We all love you.”

In response to the public’s surprised reaction to her plea, the 21-year-old added: “Someone had to do it, and I’ll be that person.”

JoJo’s letter appears to reference a theory circulating online that artists in the music industry have historically thanked Beyoncé at award shows to avoid appearing as a threat to the Grammy winner, whom many conspirators accuse of being involved in sex trafficking and extortion. The allegations led to Diddy’s arrest last month.

Although the circulating theory is not based on any evidence and Beyoncé has not addressed it publicly, it has since sparked a trend in which users thank the “Hello” singer for her random actions online in a sarcastic way to avoid the possibility of “retaliation.” Minha or Didi.
