Joe Gorga Reveals ‘Rude, Rude’ Interaction With Rich Wakely
Rich Wakely Not at all on good terms with the Gorga family, according to Joe Gorga It’s been a shared experience lately. It’s a bit of a shame since the Gorgas and Wakile families seemed to be on good terms after Kathy Wakile ended her stint on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Unfortunately, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga split the RHONJ cast into two camps. In the end, it seemed like the Wakely family didn’t side with either camp. When news broke that Kathy and Rich were building a house near the Gorgas, Melissa had high hopes.
Unfortunately, Kathy dashed Mel’s hopes almost immediately. On Watch What Happens Live, she dubbed the area “Melissa Way,” because she “seems to own the street.” Shortly after the incident, Joe shared a recent encounter with Rich that seemed equally rude.

On Joe and Melissa’s podcast, they addressed the apparent feud between the Wakeles family. “One time, you know, when I… ran into Richie. We were at a plumbing supply place and I was on the sidewalk and he was down there. I didn’t realize he was there. And I was carrying my plumbing supplies and I tripped – I tripped over the forklift,” Joe said.
“The guy said, ‘Oh, are you okay?’ I looked up and it was Richie… and this was when they bought the property and were about to move into the neighborhood. I was nice. I said, ‘Hey, what’s up Richie? What’s up Wakely?… Welcome to the neighborhood!’” And you know what he said to me?
“He said, ‘Hey! This is Mr. Wakely for you!’ And he went to his car and drove off. He was so rude and impolite, and I said, ‘Okay.’” Joe imagined that Rich “still felt bitter because [he] “He got fired from the show.” Melissa looked disapproving, but Joe told the Wakeles to “get over it.” “That’s it,” Melissa added.
